SwaggyB never interlock its bad for the roots, but if you want to maintain individual locs and not let them congo, then freeform but pull them apart after washing

Interlocking is not bad for your locs. Only when done incorrectly. Always go in the same pattern to reduce holes and weak spots. Its okay to interlock to the point where the root is maintained but don't overdue. Leave A little slack for the root to relax. Interlocking requires less maintenance in the long run and never interlock dry locs, always have damp hair.

Azhane Wiggins after they all lock you should wash them 1 or 2 times a week and every ones in a while do a deep clean with oils and shii

Azhane Wiggins your suppose to wash your dreads at least 1-2 times a week clean hair locks dirty hair doesn't because of the oils from your scalp (well it does it just takes so much longer) So yes wash your hair with shampoo that has no additives
