A powerful international investigation of the global pharmaceutical industry.
Every year, many new drugs come to market which offer hope to the sick and dying. They also bring billions of pounds into the coffers of the pharmaceutical industry, making Big Pharma the most profitable and powerful business on earth. Two years in the making, this film investigates just how far drug companies are prepared to go to get their drugs approved; what they will do to make sure they get the prices they want and what happens when profits are put before people.

I’m only 8 minutes in. Just heard them say “the parents didn’t speak English yadda yadda.” Yet patient 0001 has a father who speaks darn good English. Assuming phizer couldn’t employ an interpreter is nuts! They thought this poor community would never speak to a reporter from across the world is what they though.

Look what's going on with the Covid-19 vaccines. People are given experimental jabs without letting them know it is experimental and that there is a possibility of an adverse reaction. Millions of adverse reactions have been reported to no avail. Children that are at no risk of Covid are now jabbed with this dangerous injection.

Nobody can afford to get ill in Ireland. My dad had cancer and it almost bankrupt us, only when he was on about 18 different medicines did he get an exemption card. I am in England and a box of paracetamol is pennies here. I send some over every week, because they're a small fortune. Disgusting drug companies, all about £££££ don't give a toss about people's lives.

27 $ for Fluconazole!!! 1 tablet! I am lost for words! Thank you, my dear country Russia 🇷🇺 for cheap medicine and cheap tablets! In Russia 1 tablet of Fluconazole costs about 0,34$. It is incredible that pharmaceutical companies only care about money and do not stop to think a little about people, (in the life of a person who most importantly), it is complex to think that in each country money weighs more than health of a person, that medicines is a strategy to get more money and take over the market every time without even caring about the suffering of people, (children, adults and the elderly).

I personally feel that's the end-game for more than only Big Pharma, though they're included obviously. What they don't realize however, is that just like light and dark, good and evil, you need different levels of class in a system. If everyone were "upper class," then nobody would be, and those slightly ahead would become the new top end, while those with slightly less become the bottom rung. It's a system that won't go away with how things stand, currently. That's for sure.

As an individual who began university prior to even nearing puberty, I have managed quite the life for somebody who was too young to know about the States’ towers being struck by aeroplanes. I’ve worked as a scientist all me life, though my fields have drastically changed. During my late-teens I was approached by a drug company [NDA gags me] and was member to tests within the African continent. I very much disliked the pressure, therefore, I transferred to working with missiles/ rockets, robotics and technology. I personally lack any sort of people skills one can fathom. Whilst I’ll always support human trials, I am only in support of the trial that took place in Kano, Nigeria, Africa due to the fact that the deaths were nearly equal between the two drugs used; one of which being the top-rated drug today when treating meningitis.

Is good not to say "luck" (luck is synonymous with "chance" or "fortune" because Fortuna is the goddess of fortune [or goddess of fate] and the personification of luck in Roman religion [equivalent to the Greek goddess Tyche], the pagan faith [so called "religions" - pagan faiths, lying faiths, false faiths] - behind any gods and goddesses [behind idols] are: satan, devil [father of lies], demons, antichrist), because luck is the Devil, the Satan the Moloch from Old Testament (Saturn idol from Romans, etc.) where "mothers" gave their babies to have "benefits in life, fortune, etc." to so-called "priests" of Moloch to kill babies by cutting with round knifes and after that babies are burn in big carriages in the shape of an oven for this idol for Satan that is behind each idol (idol means everything that depart us, that keep us apart from our God and Lord Jesus Christ and not do holy virtuous deeds, so lose our Salvation if we keep on this destructive, bad, antichristic path) as also Holy Fathers and Father Cleopa Ilie say: "Don't say luck because you'll worship Satan (Devil)!" Chance is derived from luck, like other words that are derived from luck... For more details see on Wikipedia who was Moloch, and also on SanatateSiViata.ro search "Cleopa Ilie" and you can translate in English on Google. Is not wise to say empty words (desert words, not holy words that will put us on path of Salvation) because at Last Judgement we will be judged also by this desert words, not holy words that we say in our life as we are told in Holy Scripture: "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:35-37) So we are judge at Last Judgement by what words we said also, not also by our deeds, facts. Is wise, is christian to say "good" day, search, etc. because good is only our God and Lord Jesus Christ in Holy Trinity or more wise christian say: God bless you or God help.

When the deaths were nearly identical between Ceftriaxone and Trovan, blaming the medication just isn’t logical. Disease, infection, malnutrition and residing in squalor should’ve been taken into account. If not for human trials, there would be far more deaths occurring.

God knows everything and registered in Heaven. The wicked die as well as the good. God is in control no matter how dark it may be. Sin must take it course that we know how sinful is sin. Only through Christ Jesus are people gain surety of eternal life. Through Jesus, we’re given the Spirit that we know how we conduct ourselves and which way is the Way. Christ is coming soon. Don’t take my word. Ask God. He talks from Heaven, and by the Bible we’re given what had happened, what is happening, and will happen. God is in control. The world powers are under the power of Satan, so the help must come from above in the highest.

Thank you so much for telling the horrendous price of human suffering due to big Pharma pricing policies. Watching Jaimo, a child literally die on camera, from AIDS, a disease in Europe/UK were NO-ONE has die, let alone a child, has deeply moved me. I intend to make sure people see your excellent documentary. My mother died from MS.

I know this is an old comment, but yeah, people die from AIDS all the time. The difference for the US, Europe, and other places with access to proper care for it, though, is that they can take medications that suppress the disease. It doesn't "cure" or make it disappear, but it bring their levels down so low that they can live longer, healthier lives and in some cases, may not even pass it on to a partner/spouse (only if it's undetectable, and even then, I'm not saying anyone should be doing things under the assumption they won't get infected). So, it does slow it down, but these kinds of incurable diseases do get many people in the end.... Especially without access to medication. Many countries still struggle to get people treatment for HIV and AIDS.

jewel forgenie Sadly that would be impossible. Nearly every prescribed drug has big pharma's dirty finger prints on it. What it needs is some serious controls and regulations. But then for that to happen you need to stop lobbying.

@@matildamarmaduke1096 You're definitely one of the lucky ones. I need mental health medication I can't afford. They cost a total of $700 month when I last had them, over a decade ago now. That was even on my mother's military insurance, when I was eligible for it still. I can't imagine how much those would cost now.... I have health issues now too that I'd likely need meds for.

My stepfather passed on two years ago from MS. He was in the clinical trials of the drug Copaxone that saved his life for a lot longer than he would have if he'd not had it, however that med would have cost him tons of money if he'd not gotten free lifetime supply of it from Phizer for being in their clinical trials. I know they charge way too much for medicine, it's rediculous and the cost of it is lives. I'm sorry you have to deal with that illness Kristin, I hope one day these people in Big Pharm will show they have a heart, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Kristin Jenkins That's shocking. Our National Health Service isn't perfect but the cost of drugs is regulated. As a patient you pay roughly the equivilent of around $10 per perscription regardless of the cost of the drug. Free for kids, the unemployed and retired.
