Thank you Fonnie! I learned a lot from your video today. Pon is tricky for me sometimes. Do you keep a reservoir of water for your Hoyas in Pon?

I’m glad you found it useful😊 I do have a reservoir of water for my Hoyas in Pon. However, in order to make sure the plant is sufficiently watered, I’ll water from the top, until the excessive water comes out to the reservoir☺️

One thing i observed in the stem that has rotten is that it was upside down when it was planted at first that is why it had rot. You can tell because 1) the new growth was growing from the bottom. 2) the aerials roots closest to the nodes are on the top.

That’s a great tips, Jason😀 didn’t think about that but it makes so much sense🙋🏻♀️ I’ll have that in mind next time propagating.

Another way you can tell if it's routed the correct way is the leaves will look like or the branches of the leaves will look like the shrugging their shoulders very easy this way I find

I've definitely had stem rot with my hoyas in soil.... very frustrating especially when it took months to root. I try to just bottom water to prevent this issue. Not always successful but ya can't win them all💁

Have you experienced roots not being sufficiently watered if you bottom water your Hoyas? I found it quite tricky to know if the roots are long enough to reach the moisture at the bottom and end up drying out 😲

@@tfyfonniemost of my hoyas are in small 4 in pots. I also water propagate until there is a long root system so roots are close to bottoms of the pot.

@@KelliesHoya I don’t have much luck in water propagating Hoya cuttings during winter🥶 for those that I managed to grow in water, I found that water roots took longer time to adapt back to soil/ Pon 😧
