If you want to increase your FPS substantially without sacrificing too much graphical fidelity, turn the Draw Distance slider all the way down. All it affects is distant LOD quality and not actual visibility, like you’d have to put zoomed-in screenshots of very high altitudes in order to really feel the difference

In real life, I get the urge to drop kick zombies off tall buildings all the time. They stagger round aimlessly, walking out in front of moving vehicles, bumping in to people and stationery objects, all whilst staring at their mobile phones, reading inconsequential crap and tapping out banal messages to other zombies. Take away their mobile phones and they either run round screaming in blind panic, or just become immobile and unable to function at all. 😵‍💫

i remember playing this game on a g3250 and hd5670 512mb with 8gb of ram at lowest settings 1024x768 at around 40 to 50 fps back in 2016. played through the entire game like that and it still looked great. later went to play doom 2016 on the same setup and it wasn't quite as good. with a few console tweaks to disable shadows and overclocking the gpu i got around 25fps. still played through the whole game like that and yes it was painful.

hehe now thats funny. Because Last of us, being linear not open world, and changing LOD or some other shader/lighting effects literally give us nothing xDD I barely managed to find some okeish settings to get 50 average FPS. And DL2 is pushing High settings and i am getting 80 average, shit is ridiculous :D Dl1 when they patched it up and Enhanced edition dropped, showed how game CAN be optimized. Same thing was with Horizon Zero when Complete edition dropped, it worked much better.

Picked it up myself and spread the word around so a couple friends appreciated. Amazingly I am a survival Horror nut and I have always heard good things yet SOMEHOW I never bothered to try this game or give it a chance. After playing it a couple hours last night in Story mode I was INSTANTLY HOOKED, boggles my mind I never considered it before, great fun, very immersive and the NPC's are excellent. I'm running this game on my GTX 1660 (undervolted, but matches stock performance in time spy) with texture high, other two settings medium, view distance slider halfway, the other toggles turned off (ambient occlusion etc). The frame rate averaged at around 100fps when rendering at 2560x1440 resolution.

I'm running it on quite an old cpu an i7 2600 although it's paired with a 5600XT and at 1440p for the most part I get a sold 60fps and that's all the settings maxed although I may drop it to 1080p if their are many performance drops later as it is pushing my gpu pretty hard.

Hey RGinHD, Thanks for picking up this game. Please if you would add this to the benchmarks for future videos. This game isn't all that demanding after all the patches and optimization. I was able to run the game well with the Athlon 3000G (aquired after seeing your review videos btw) as a backup when my MoBo died and wouldn't boot. This was my favorite zombie game just before the sequel was released last year and after i tried running the game with the same CPU, I was forced to wait til i got my Main PC rig running again. Dying Light 2 is much more instensive on the system so if you ever get a chance to acquire it, I'd love to see it more on the benchmark list at all possible. I've used it as a benchmark for a lot of PC hardware configs while i was transitioning PCs. Currently I run the game with the Ryzen 7 5700G with FSR2 on low to medium and it runs well but i've since added the RX6400 for dedicated graphics and it is my current setup that i love and can play all my games thanks to FSR.

My 3060ti and 5 5600x undervolted and overclocked get over 300 fps on 1080p max settings, but it stutters slightly about every 30-40 seconds, so I capped it to 120, and it never drops below. It's a great game.

Well I guess I could get this to be playable. @ 1366x768 and high settings it was averaging in the 35-40fps range with Lowest FPS at about 28fps. I was going to try it at different settings like 1920x1080 with everything at low/off, but the game doesn't remember keybind changes and I can't be assed to play a game with wasd like a righty.

@@younglingslayer2896 The only game benchmarks I could find comparing the gtx760m to the mx110 were with Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider, but those were showing the gtx760m with about 133% to 150% higher fps. The MX110 looks like it's gpu is clocked about 50% faster than the GTX760m but it's only got 1/3 the pipelines and 1/4 the memory bandwidth.

Playing this on max settings at 4K with my old R9 Fury Crossfire rig is the only time I've ended up unintentionally tripping some form PSU protection. :) (I did end up resolving that by getting what is now a hilariously unnecessary 1200W PSU)

The game runs great on the switch, so I think it’ll run good enough on any system you attempt it on. (That it was released on** don’t come at me with “oh it doesn’t run good on my gameboy pocket!” 😂) but honestly this game is great, and I don’t even believe people when they say they’ve never played it, because how lol

I'll install Epic again for the free games and just for this... Ngl, been slacking on the Epic deals thing 😅 I did grab Bioshock I think? That was the last time I grabbed anything they gave out though. Free is free. I do have the Steam version, but not the Enhanced, so meh

Yeah as much as I want to play this game even if being free on epic is not gonna make me want to play it I hate using that platform so much
