Dying light 1 is a ZOMBIE game with parkour mixed with it. Dying light 2 is a PARKOUR game with zombies mixed with it. The first game is a zombie game and sold as such. The second game is a parkour game but sold as a zombie game.

Tbh you don't know how much I absolutely love this game. I've done it all from doing the hunter gland duplicate glitch before it got patched. And also bolter tissue gets you money too. I have like 50 stacks of ×999999 each and that doesn't even count the many others I gave out for free. Whoever played the game, atleast on xbox that is. I have almost a billion dollars(965million). Legend lvl 250 so max stats in human. Apex predator in be the zombie. Which Kyle Crane is the zombie. Yea much love for this game man

The first game is such good value, I bought it this year and did a playthrough on PC, Steam says that I spent 59 hours to complete it. There was much left but at that point I had gotten all I needed from it. For being a 9 year old game it looks really good!

Havent played in a few years since i beat the dlc. Just got the platinum/definitive edition for the switch (for $10) and am very displeased to learn they apparently removed duping from offline stuff. Money for stuff is my main enemy. Never makes sense when a singleplayer gane removes something thats optional for players to do. Now if it broke the game like having the zombies to just stand still while you kill them all then that makes sense

Dying light 2 did improve a lot but still lacks so much I like from this game. One of the biggest disappointments was not getting a sequel to be the zombie which was some of the most fun pvp I’ve played in games. Hopefully The Beast brings it back because it was a lot of fun.

What Dying Light really gets me is how Techland polished the parkour system and the overall theme of the game. DL2 has this whole...oil painting theme to it (or plastic-ky theme, I dunno), but it is executed extremely poorly so it looks horrible and overwhelming. And don't get me started with the parkour system, even now I can't understand how the devs couldn't just copy the entire system from the first part and improve it with touch ups here and there. While as in DL1, everything is just...better. Don't get me wrong, Villedor is no doubt a beautiful setting, but when you do some parkour and stuffs, you'll find the city is quite...hollow, and the oil-painting theme just makes it worse for some reason. Now, I just hope Techland and its devs don't ef things up with DL: The Beast.

I enjoyed dying light 2 and I really like the city they have in it, but the story is a little disappointing. I won’t include any spoilers here, but i just wished it focused more on the factions and the city like how it was shown off in the first trailers we got for the game. Unfortunately it doesn’t take that route, at least not to the extent that I had hoped it would.
