I AM DONE DYING MY HAIR after starting the trend in middle school i had ups and downs mixed feelings bout dying my hair... id mess it up so bad!! its grown back to shoulder length and my natural color is amber brownish red i have missed it terribly but i do love to see wat others can create with hairdye.. your hair was just devine!!

lauruxaaaaa when you do it with your hands you can feel where exactly your putting the dye that's why I don't like the gloves they make my hands sweat and you can feel more accurately where you put the dye.

I seriously wish I watched this video before doing my hair. I have long hair and don't need extensions. I did the same coloring as you did here with the same brand of dye and same colors. *ALTHOUGH I MADE A HUGE, MISTAKE THAT I'VE NEVER HEARD TALKED ABOUT IN ANY VIDEOS......* I used too much conditioner when mixing it with the dye😩 I ended up with a white lather all over my head that didn't take the dye in several places..... Sadly, Directions dye can only be purchased through the internet here and I'm in a PANIC!!! It actually looks okay, and I've had many compliments but I KNOW it has the look of someone that didn't know what they were doing..... I've dyed my hair many of times and never been so dumb! *After all that, here's my question, lol* 😂 I went to Sally's (a beauty supply store) and bought a PLUM dye color made by " 'N Rage" and was told by a beauty worker, *"I'm not suppose to tell you this, but mix a little developer in with the dye."* Does she know what she's saying? Also, I know they say shampoo your hair and don't use conditioner before dying your hair. My hair's long and gets tangled as frick! How can I possibly dye my hair in that condition?

I know that tjis is really late,but pleaaase don't put developer in these semi permanet colors,that's not gonna help anything!They don't need it!Plus,yes you only should shampoo your hair before you're about to dye it,since it opens up the hair (excuse my awful explanation,english is not my first language).My hair is very long aswell and get's suuuper frizzy and dry when i don't condition it after washing (before I dye it),but i think that's something we have to deal with,i wouldn't advise putting anything on it to smoothen it.If you're blowdrying it,just use a tangle teezer or a wide tooth comp inbetween,just lightly brush over it!And then just slap the dye on!I know,it's not a nice feeling but when the mixture is on,your hair will forgive you haha!(Though i personally feel like I'm using more dye thatway since it's hard to get it all even that way) But in the end it's worth it.Hope this at least helped you somehow. And your hair still probably looks lovely 😊

Yea developer is only supposed to be used in mostly blacks,browns etc. for example ion which you can find in sally beauty,but since your are dying your hair an unatural color there is no need for developer.

That conditioner you used is my fav its the only thing that actually does what it says and the mayching shampoo actually makes my hair soft and smell nice. I know its cheap but ive tried different herbal essences shampoos and they made my hair go so dry it was almost matted and when I brushed it it wouldnt go through and when it eventually did 5 mins later it was MATTED again so im never using that and I stick to albeto balsam or elvive

I think it should work as long as the purple dye isn't too light. Try testing it on a piece of hair first to make sure it works.

Coming from a hairstylist, it won’t be a vibrant purple like you want, it’s all about the color wheel, if your hair was yellow then the purple would cancel it out, but since it’s orange you’d have to use a blue toner and then use the purple color
