I wish things had worked out between them. As much as I like Vinnie, it is sad how Dylan’s relationship with Erin was sidelined by the Vinnie-Erin romance.

I completely agree with you. Starting with season 3, it's as if the series has gone down a different path. Throughout season 2, it was hinted to us that Erin and Dylan should reconcile, but then we find out that they broke up. Throughout season 3 and 4, it was clear that Dylan still had feelings for Erin, and he loved Tyler, even if they didn't give him much screen time. Fans will forgive me, but I consider Dylan and Erin to be a cool couple, and Vinnie and Erin as close friends, nothing more. It's very sad that Dylan won't be in season 6, he's my favorite character, and he deserves more.

Dylan was just a if vinnie never had bipolar really so basically she was going to always cheat on vinnie regardless. Don’t forget she was very touchy touchy with that other lad while she was with Dylan also. Best romance was jj and sugar then maker’s sabotaged it.
