idk if it was that much about morals, i mean there was nothing immoral about the scene. i think it was more about how he interprets the situation going on in the episode and how well he knows his character. putting too much emphasis on the sex would be "derailing" in the midst of what stiles was going through at that moment with the nogitsune.

As an actor myself, its comforting to hear his answer. Not many male actors would say no to a full sex scene or half of a sex scene. Many female actors are asked and expected to do them. I'm not one of them. I don't think I need to do a sex scene to get the meaning of the scene across. Kudos to Dylan.

I’m really sad people are using this as leverage for stydia. Dylan didn’t say he wasn’t for Stiles and Malia, he just said that he was more for their connection. He mentioned how he wanted the moment to be tender and loving, and even said how most of their thoughts were communicated through their eyes. Idk it makes me really sad how people take the clip where’s he just saying no, but in reality he’s explaining the respect he has for himself and for Malia as a character as well as stiles.

Honestly when I look back at it the whole scene with Derek and Jennifer and Stiles and Malia neither of those scenes needed to happen. Because both boys weren’t in their right mind to be having sex in the first place. Stiles was in a psych ward possessed. He shouldn’t be having sex with anybody let alone with someone he didn’t know and unprotected at that. Derek was in the middle of trying to heal after damn near dying. Why would he randomly have sex with a woman he didn’t really know either that whoops turned out to be yet another psychopath? I wasn’t a big fan of how they treated the boys when it came to love interests.

Yeah… I agree with you. There’s nothing romantic about being possessed and trapped in a psych ward or almost dying… though, i guess for the scene between jennifer derek you could kind of argue that jennifer was doing it to manipulate him and take advantage of him when he was vulnerable to further establish what kind of person she is. i’m not sure if that’s what the writers intended or if that’s what viewers picked up on, but i could see it as that. but the whole romance plot with styles and malia was inappropriate and unnecessary. they could’ve and should’ve found a better to make stiles say yes to the nogitsune. stiles had been mentally tormented and out of his mind that season, while malia had been living as a coyote since she was 9 years old so her mind was probably underdeveloped in some aspects.

Maybe that sex part was needed for Stiles vulnerabilities. After all, Malia, is the reason why he let that spirit in and control his body. He threatened him to hurt Malia if he keeps on fighting, and he needed that kind of connection so he would sacrifice for her because he wants to protect her. But Dylan has a point, too. I'm really agree to Dylan. It's a good thing that they didn't show much of it. Plus being in a sex active person would change stiles tenderness, sweetnes and gentle character. We all know how gentleman he is to Lydia, that would be change if he'll act that way.

***** He isn't the only writer. He's the main one but he has said in the past over everything the writers discuss in a meeting. Maybe it wasn't exactly how he first wanted it but it actually is romantic. Think about it... losing their virginity to each other as an act of lust in a place that isn't the best in the midst of everything. They weren't thinking about that at the moment. And as "patients" they weren't insane. Stiles only wanted protection for his friends and Malia was gone for like 7 years... so yeah.

So, if it makes it onto the show, that means that Jeff either approved it or he was high on something and didn't read it. Stiles was having trouble distinguishing between dreams and reality because he was *possessed* by the nogitsune, which was why he allowed himself to be committed in the first place! Malia's only life experiences after age 9 were hunting small game and evading cougars! Do you think her father gave her a quick birds-and-the-bees talk before committing her to Eichen House?! How was this "romantic"? Because one had schizophrenia-like symptoms and the other was mentally a child? Supernatural root causes notwithstanding, that is still pretty messed up!

DTRAINgotGAME23 Jeff confirmed no such thing, and Dylan says in this very video, how the way they filmed it, with tender moments, holding hands, is alluding to them (Stiles/Malia) having sex. it's here, right at the end. It was supposed to be a very hot scene in the script, with ripping of the clothes, and Dylan said no to that, and they filmed it differently, but the sex still happened. Anyway, why anyone would still care about it, cause we already had season 4 after the video above and Stiles/Malia were having sex without any doubts?
