Great awareness of character and storytelling I’d say. I often enjoy the intimacy Dylan describes more than sex scenes because sex scenes can be so disjointed and schematic and too often they’re just hot and don’t show the intimacy enough imo.

I'm so happy Dylan O'brien said no to that scene and the directors and writers were cool enough to work with him on it and compromise! I love Teen Wolf and just knowing that there were good people behind it makes me happy!

I had a very strange thing happen to me when I watched the Allison death episode. I was watching the series for the first time and halfway through the 2nd season I was spoiled to her dying. I didnt know when she died yet. I knew she left after season 3 so I was expecting it. So I was watching season 3 episode 23 (That's the one where she dies right?) and Right as Stiles sank to the ground my DVD froze. This was a new DVD set and I couldn't understand why it froze at that exact moment EVERY time. I had to go and get a Hulu subscription to watch the rest of the episode. And that's when I realized this is point that Allison dies. I thought it would be the next episode (23 is the second to last episode in season 3). I sat there and cried. alot. But I think it's really strange how Jeff Davis said at the time of that episode airing that he couldn't watch Allison's death scene because it was hard, and my DVD players couldn't PLAY the Allison death scene at all. really strange.

Maybe that sex part was needed for Stiles vulnerabilities. After all, Malia, is the reason why he let that spirit in and control his body. He threatened him to hurt Malia if he keeps on fighting, and he needed that kind of connection so he would sacrifice for her because he wants to protect her. But Dylan has a point, too. I'm really agree to Dylan. It's a good thing that they didn't show much of it. Plus being in a sex active person would change stiles tenderness, sweetnes and gentle character. We all know how gentleman he is to Lydia, that would be change if he'll act that way.

well, at that point in the steries stiles was possessed and trapped in a psych ward. he had been through a lot that season so he was extremely emotionally vulnerable and not of sound mind. i don’t think having a romance plot, especially not one that involved sex, was appropriate for that stiles at all. they should’ve found a better way to force stiles to say yes the nogitsune.

Their relationship should have been deeply explored since the actors had the best chemistry on the series, in my opinion. I really believe that making them a couple later on would have been amazing! It looked like the show was going that way, from all the anchor thing and everything else, but then... Then the show went somewhere else... And the show ended... Not in a good way...

Honestly when I look back at it the whole scene with Derek and Jennifer and Stiles and Malia neither of those scenes needed to happen. Because both boys weren’t in their right mind to be having sex in the first place. Stiles was in a psych ward possessed. He shouldn’t be having sex with anybody let alone with someone he didn’t know and unprotected at that. Derek was in the middle of trying to heal after damn near dying. Why would he randomly have sex with a woman he didn’t really know either that whoops turned out to be yet another psychopath? I wasn’t a big fan of how they treated the boys when it came to love interests.

Yeah… I agree with you. There’s nothing romantic about being possessed and trapped in a psych ward or almost dying… though, i guess for the scene between jennifer derek you could kind of argue that jennifer was doing it to manipulate him and take advantage of him when he was vulnerable to further establish what kind of person she is. i’m not sure if that’s what the writers intended or if that’s what viewers picked up on, but i could see it as that. but the whole romance plot with styles and malia was inappropriate and unnecessary. they could’ve and should’ve found a better to make stiles say yes to the nogitsune. stiles had been mentally tormented and out of his mind that season, while malia had been living as a coyote since she was 9 years old so her mind was probably underdeveloped in some aspects.
