I get what he’s saying but it’s really a case by case basis. Because there are some child stars who have not been as fortunate to have a positive or uneventful experience like him. And those stars have a right to say their piece on their own experience regardless of how anyone feels about it. It’s understandable that some might have mixed feelings about their childhood and the pros and cons of it all.

Dylan seems incredibly humble and grounded. I think its really a testament of his character that he feels so appreciative of his time as a child actor; however, some child actors are subjected to verbal and even s*xual abuse so his comments are unintentionally offensive. I think growing up in poverty allows a child star to appreciate it more from a financial perspective, but again, stars such as Macaulay Culkin and Jeanette McCurdy have both expressed growing up in abusive and impoverished conditions, yet they still seem deeply affected and traumatized by their time spent working as child actors. I think Dylan means well, but it's good to be mindful of actors who had different experiences.

By "bratty," I think he means he wants people to take more accountability for the choices they make - but in this specific context, we're literally talking about children...lol.

He's right! He had a great experience and it provided him with an amazing life and that's his experience. What other people went through is not the same for him simple as that.

Dylan discrediting all those who shared their trauama is actually very sad to hear. Calling those who dealt with sexual assault and racism "bratty" is out of touch. Check your privilege.

To jump to a conclusion to something you haven't even seen, and to judge people solely on your own experience is pretty dubious. He was part of a company that's iron fist in making sure their productions are as controversy free as possible. Nickelodeon stars aren't that lucky. He needs to go touch some grass amd smoke less of it. Hope I'm wrong and that he's capable and not the condescending narcissist he's looking like now.

Big problem is that he’s talking about it as if it’s just a new hit tv show to binge that’s popular at the moment and nothing more. I’m sure it wouldn’t kill him to take a couple hours out of his life to watch a three part documentary about his fellow child actors who were not as fortunate as he was. Especially considering the fact that Drake Bell’s predator went on to work on your own show after he had already been in prison for it.

He looks like a complete kid still and even sounds like one, just with facial hair 😂

Hmm, Dylan's extremely dismissive tone sounds like he's hard coping. After hearing about that mother of his and Cole's, I really wouldn't be surprised if he actually does have a story to tell, he's just not ready to tell it and thats okay. I wish all the child stars and former child stars well in their lives.

So let me get this straight, just because D Sprouse was lucky enough not to have been SA'ed he is SHAMING those who were and calling them BRATTY? This guy should be CANCELLED.

WTF That is not at all what he said. That is a horrible intentional misinterpretation. It would be bratty to not be grateful for the opportunity being a child actor has given him.

So...he's not wrong? But I don't think it'd applicable to Quiet on Set. Since he hasn't seen it, you can kinda take his words under consideration because he's speaking ignorantly. But his point is true also, just maybe not quite right under this context of child abuse, molestation, and poor working conditions for children in the industry.
