I’ve never taken the song “money, power, glory” as her wanting to use the men in her life for their fame and whatnot… I always took it as this hopelessness for the situation she’s in. Like she’s dreaming of what she really wants, the power the men in her life have, but knows she can never have it simply because of who she is. I always listen to it as a sad/devastating song. It’s one of my all time favorites.

It’s her playing on the stereotypes the media put on her. That she wants money,power glory. she wrote the song at a time when she felt really frustrated. She felt like the most anybody was going to allow her was, if she would be lucky, money and power, in the form of infamy, rather than fame. She described the song as "a sarcastic response, psychologically, just to what I felt was going on" she said "I learned that whatever I did elicited an opposite response, so I’m sure ‘Money Power Glory’ will actually resonate with people as being what I really do want. I already know what’s coming, so it's okay to explore irony and bitterness"

My opinion on west coast, she is a generous artist, she cares about the whole music piece not for herself, as well as recording a 10 minutes song just because it is where it naturally goes. My favorites are norman and ultra violence, but I listen to her entire discography on repeat
