The guy in black knows what he’s talking about. Summertime sadness is a repetitive song with similar beats while in her other albums, there’s more artistry when it comes to the instrumentals and the concepts themselves.
@jimmytran-177811 ай бұрын
@@Jiggly_WigglyPuff All of her songs are gorgeous and have meaning. And summertime sadness, like you said, has a standard song structure. But she has songs with complex song structures that shows more of her creative abilities. Like Venice Bitch or her honeymoon album. Listen to that and you’ll understand.
@Jiggly_WigglyPuff11 ай бұрын
I mean yes, but Summertime Sadness is still a gorgeous song with meaning. It is written in a more poppy way (hooks and stutters) with a standard song structure, but the production is different. It combines a variety of sounds and genres.
@TomorrowWeLive11 ай бұрын
They're probably referring to the more 'clubby' remix. The original version is less poppy. They should totally react to that (with the music video ofc); I'd be interested to see if they thought differently about it compared to the more popular remix.

She’s considered the queen of alternative, mainly because her release of Born To Die went on to heavily shift the style and production of alternative music and later pop music over the years. Music has shifted back to using a lot of real instrumentation, deeper lyrics, acknowledgement of internal sadness, not to mention the bits of psychedelic rock and folk she has worked into her musical universe

The guy in black hoodie being annoyed when they were talking through Old Money is everything. But can’t fault you guys thee best Lana reaction after Turning Tables one.
@OneAndOnlySurge11 ай бұрын
I was just about to comment that they were talking and messing around too much for Old Money. That's a song you must absolutely just sit and listen and not even sing along to in order to feel it thoroughly. I get teary eyed just thinking of that song for some reason. It reminds me of losing someone and that last minute attempt to bring them back. But in reality you only have a few seconds. The desperation. The anguish. The hopelessness. 😔

No matter how many times I have listened to ultraviolence it ALWAYS hits me really hard. I cry every single time. The play on "I can hear (police) sirens sirens violins violins" instead of 'violence' n how her mind changes the police sirens sound to violins to protect herself, and the "we can go back to the start when I don't know who you are" wish I had never even known you and the "I could have died right there in his arms b/ he was right beside me"- he could have literally killed me right there; "Jim taught me that loving him was never enough"- learning that no matter how much I loved it was never enough for you. ahhh I can go on n on, it always gets to me.

Not only that, but she also followed me on Twitter when her account was active after reading my letter that I couldn't give to her because I was too far from the stage. I took a picture and tweeted her, and she followed me almost immediately. We interacted a couple of times. A friend also recorded a video of her saying she loves me. She's truly the most humble, kind, and talented human being on earth. I'm so happy to see people reacting to Ultraviolence because it's my favorite album. Ocean Blvd also had a huge impact on my life.

Yeah I noticed right away how different it sounded. I wouldn't say I liked it more here, but I enjoyed hearing the different version. I sometimes complain about how during some of her lives they need to turn her vocals up louder because the instrumentals drown her out, but in a bad way. In this one I enjoyed the effect. It kind of made the song more eerie and dream like, however I always always prefer to hear louder vocals from her lol

I felt so seen when the sir on the right said something about feeling like floating while listening to her. And yes, her songs sound amazing when you are driving around in the night, total heaven. Honestly, appreciating this album on this level takes some taste for arts and sensibility for emotion in singing I feel like. When people are so used to catchy pop formulas they disregard albums like this. I can't wait for the NFR! reaction but going chronologically might be a good idea too. Also, I must admit I'm a Lana cult follower girlfriend too and I will show this video to my boyfriend lol, that first bit was too funny. Thanks for the video guys.
