It's probably some sort of rehearsal or something. Nobody is dressed up except for the ladies in the bridal party. If you look in the back almost everyone is jeans and boots. It even looks like the groom's buddy is wearing his colors, ha. Anyways, he must have something, his wife is stunning lol. Cowboys are usually pretty good with that stuff, I doubt he'd dress like that if his wife was going to wear a traditional dress to the wedding, but everyone is different so I could be wrong.

I actually can relate to this. My grandfather was a babtist reverend. The day my brother came home from the army he stopped over at my mom's house. Grandparents was there n mom called me.i Looked at my now wife and said grab the marriage license we're getting married now. Went to my mom's and asked grandpa if he would. So went to his house, got his bible, came back and almost 19 years later we're still together. My brother was my best man and witness, my grandfather made it official and my mom n stepdad was present. We never got to take our honeymoon yet but that's still in the air.

I did something similar for my twin sister. I told her I would not be able to make it to her college graduation(she has a learning disability that has made school EXTREMELY difficult for her), and as I was on my way my second flight to her was delayed a day(her graduation was the next day) and luckily there was a limo service available to drive me the remaining 6hrs, which the airline covered since the issue was the plane itself and there was no notification through email or text of the delay. The graduation ceremony was outside, and I was able to hide behind some trees and bricks. After she walked across the stage and was making her way towards my mom and stepfather, I came out. The look of complete confusion with excitement she gave me was worth everything and anything. She starts sobbing, and as I'm hugging her, she says, "I thought you weren't coming." My reply, "You know damn well I wasn't gonna miss this."

The red/yellow ribbon on his chest I'm sure he earned is called the "National Defense Service Medal". "It is awarded to every member of the U.S. Armed Forces who have served during any one of four specified periods of armed conflict or national emergency from June 27, 1950, through December 31, 2022". My father (US Navy) earned one in 1953 (Korea). A US Navy sailor's dress uniform would be black or white. Not navy blue. 😁
