It's probably a nostalgia thing, hence all the older people, and I don't think they come to order Ice cream. If I had thousands of dollars to waste flying around the country, I'd be eating at much better restaurants. That's also the trend nowadays: McDonalds is considered too expensive and unhealthy, especially the chicken nuggets. I eat at Jack in the Box all the time, and I collect receipts and get a free ultimate about once a week.

Do you plan on doing a second part of this series? I know there are more than just 5 unique locations in America. There's the Rock N Roll McDonald's in Chicago, the log cabin McDonald's in Wisconsin Dells, and Hayward, WI. Sedona, AZ has a McD with turquoise arches, Independence, OH has a fancy McD's, Barstow, CA has a McD's as a train station, Asheville, NC has a McD's resembling a ski lodge.

Rock N Roll McDonald's in Chicago is no more, and hasn't been for a while. It has been torn down twice since than. Each time it looses a little more of it's uniqueness. But it is one of the "Green McDonald's", which makes it a kind of cool location. There is also the McDonald's that is over the interstate in Vinita, OK. Hawaiian McDonald's have unique menu items.

When I went to Florida my parents and I passed the world’s largest entertainment McDonald’s and we looked at it in absolute awe - we were too busy to go inside but my goodness is it cool in there…. We’ll have to go pay a visit if we go back and are in the area!!!!

Fun fact: up the stairs in “the McDonald’s house” as the locals call it was an area where child’s birthday parties were held, I know because I went to a party there in pre-k. Dylan, I have to admit that this trip you took is quite enlightening as to the state of Mickey D’s. I loved the main headquarters in Chicago (and yes, I have eaten at my local McD’s in a full tuxedo, so suits as such are not uncommon to the company) and it’s the one place that the employees should be better dressed than the usual uniforms. I think I loved the Roswell NM restaurant because they carried out the theme all the way through, but the “fancy” McD’s was a little too stuffy to suit my style. The best one however is Orlando because outside of Chicago, it’s the only Mickey’s where you can still get pasta as well as pizza. Overall you did great with your trip. But if you get to Hawaii, there you’ll find some menu choices that are very unique to the Hawaiian McDonald’s franchises alone. Some of those are really tasty but have weird names. Great job on this trip including Cosmic! (Hope they have plans to bring one to Spokane soo).

4:00 Haven't been there in awhile, they changed the interior. It's more sleek, well the color. It used to be more mostly painted white. The black and white, and gray color does make it updated but still fits the trim. Customers were allowed upstairs and sometimes the place was packed. It looks like this place underwent the same renovation as most places.
