I like the tone better on the dyna cabs, sounds brighter and less muffled, I think it’s a good idea to adjust the amp controls as well if you go legacy to dyna because you are really changing the overall tone a lot , thanks for the video

Thanks, I agree. Definitely easier to find a tone I like with the Dyna Cabs vs legacy based on the same cabs. Hard to beat the flexibility of virtual mic placement.

I prefer the Legacy cabs so far...but the more I tweak with it, it starts to sounds better...but I'm not a huge tweaker...so it's sounding thinner to me, and the high end is harsher even when it gets rolled off...I'm sure there are great sounds to be had from it or fractal wouldn't do it...I would hope..or maybe it was a business decision?

You should be able to get a cab tone equivalent to a legacy cab out of any Dyna cab but it does put more burden on you to find it. They’re the same kind of IRs just 2000 of them at different mic positions with a new interface to organize them. It’s the next logical step but maybe it needs to include a few optimal position presets within the Dyna cab interface.

I love it! Haven't gotten around to doing a video yet, but good call. I bought the Freedman 4x12 pack and while I wish these packs could be loaded onto the fractal hardware, there's still a usable work flow for recording and saving your fav IRs to load onto an Axe FX. I'll do a demo soon!
