I have the same combo, you do need the adapter. You can use it as is without adapter, but the boot will get deformed over time because the HOJI pu is made of a softer plastic. I've hiked maybe 12-13 times with the setup, and there is already very noticeable indentations on top of the lip.

On the to of which lip please?

@@rollingdown8699 The one on the heel. The heel-lock of the kingpin will over time damage the boot because of the soft plastic. A lot of retailers will inform customers that the hoji PU can be used with kingpin, but at your own risk for the same reasons I've listed.

Hi, thank you so much for this video :-) I got the Hoji pro tour boot and was not sure if possible to combine it with the king pin binding. As you said, you do not find information about this online. Even texting to Dynafit and Marker was not successful so far in my case. Quick question. Could you probably comment on the contact of the bindung at the back in the area of these 2 wheels?!? towards the backside of the boot? Is the contact solid within the flat moon shape area of the nose of the boot? My only concern so far was, that this "moon shape flat area of the nose" Is too little (width and angle). Do you see contact marks on the back of the boot from the binding since in use? Thanks.

It looks a little like "pressed" maybe 0.01mm maybe even that is too much(1:16 u can see it). But that is only on one shoe, which I believe is from crash I had. I hit rock very hard and ski came off. The wheels sits on the toe nicely, just make sure you mount your binding perfectly straight. And also setting of the toe piece could play role, I am not sure if it is called preload but that this binding does not have so you can set position exactly. I was playing with a length settings a lot (maybe also from it is the little pressed point on my skiboots).
