Overiew
As the first British jet fighter and the Allies' only jet aircraft to achieve combat operations during the WWⅡ, Gloster Meteor has the special historical significance. This fighter with twin-engine and low wing design was produced by Gloster Aircraft Company. Besides the RAF, Several other operator such as Australia, Argentina, Canada and Israel flew Meteor. It was deployed against the V1 Buzzbombs and flew armed reconnaissance and ground attack operations and etc. The Gloster Meteor became the backbone of RAF fighter command in its F4 and F8 until the advent of swept wing aircraft.

The German ME 262 was a far superior design than the British Gloster Meteor F8 ! That's one reason never put in service in WW2 . The model really does look good in the air ! Keep up the good work !

I know this is an old film...BUT...just picked one of these up and built it last night. Its a monster!. Cant wait to give it a try and see what happens (yes its a 4s 'special' so Dynam have provided two alternative fans to put in I think with slightly lower KV. (you have to swap them out yourself but for £240 for the whole plane...amazing. If the maiden goes well then I will copy your paint job.

Very graceful flight. Seems very stable. The captain mentioned that the batteries are putting out more amps than what the ESCs can handle. Actually, the ESCs don't care if they are paired up with a monster battery with a high C rating just as long as the ESCs are getting what they want - or better yet what the motors want. Blame the motors if they are demanding too much from the rest of the system (lipo + esc) Those greedy 12 blade bastard motors! blah blah blah.. again, wonderful flight!

Nice model and great flight. The Tundra has the ECU protection as well. Found that out by taxing for take off and getting ready for take off. Full throttle then cut out.

Superb! What a great maiden, I live close to Lutterworth in the UK where Sir Frank Whittle developed the Gloster turbojet engines, there is a large traffic island in Lutterworth with a huge model of the Gloster E28/39 on a stand like a giant Airfix model, it is a tribute to the work that Sir Frank Whittle did, great video as always, very entertaining 👏👍

What an epic flight Pilot Robert & Captain Blaz,the Meteor has truly lived up to its expectations and looks superb in the air,one observation and that is you will need to use higher burst lipo's for this model as the battery bulging will only get worse and shorten the life of them,I had the same issue with the Me.262 and upgraded the 'C' rating with no problems,also perhaps re-locating the ESC's so more cooling air is around them,in my Me.262 they were re-positioned into the wing leading edge,the safety cut off feature is good but you can improve it even more,please take this as constructive comment in the true spirit of model flying.

Speaking of the Me 262(Robert's fav), did you guys ever get that thing fixed after the maiden crash? How about a formation flight with both Me 262 and Meteor in the air? The planes never met head to head in real life, but they could be bitter rivals if the war dragged into 1946.

I would probably upgrade to 6 cell if it were mine. I would not be able to afford puffing 4 cell batteries, but Oh-Yeah that flight looked awesome. Nice flying, and nice filming. Cheers, Chris

Have you made some adjustments to make this bird to fly well? You are using 2 x 4S 3300 lipos, (Dynam recommends 1x 4S xxxx...) I saw in a comment that the bad fans are the cause of the overheating. Together with the retractable landing gear that is unreliable below 10 degrees Celsius, Dynam should improve quality. A Beautiful Gloster Meteor. I like the size; it flies so smooth and scale and capable for grass ops, excellent.

Like you said Louis. I was using two baterries becouse on one it almoust burned out. I must check more abour over heating. And I think that I will just upgrade this baby on 6S. Oh yeah... Cheers my friend, Robert

Hey Robert try buying a pulse battery, they are great for twin engine edfs. I have several and they never puff up. And always keep there cells 4.20. Please buy one and try it. Get the 6s 5000 65c. You will not regret it. I promise.
