I'm not officially a Montessori teacher but I taught ESL and drama at a Montessori school in Prague for six years. I got to know (and love) the Montessori principles and practices as I watched the classroom teachers show children how to do these operations, using these materials. All the lessons were in Czech though, so while I did get the basics of using these materials, I did not get a full grasp of the necessary vocabulary used to explain how to use them and the concepts they represent. Recently I moved to Bucharest, where I am now a classroom teacher in a British school. I bought the golden beads / hundred square / thousand cube set that you use, so I can help students who have difficulty understanding place value and doing both static and dynamic addition / subtraction. Montessori methods are the best way to reach these kids! I needed a "refresher" on how to use the materials and I wanted to know how to verbally explain everything while I show the kids how to use them. So I watched your video. Super helpful! Thanks a million and my students will thank you too!

I will put the numeral card on the side next to the golden beads after lay out all materials. Then when you finished adding, put the larger numerals set as the answer below two addend sets. this way will give children a "vertical" math addition equation view.

No, we can do it, but it is mostly a primary presentation.
