Thank you, Sustainable Montessori! I wonder if you can use colored sharpies when you are writing instead of colored pencils, as it is hard to see the numbers being written on the paper on the video.

Thank you for watching the video and for your suggestion. In fact we are using markers in our old videos. Sorry for the inconvenience.

At some point will children begin to internalize this information and then be able to do it in their head? (coming from public school and taught math via memorization but trying to teach my son math via montessori)

The Montessori math materials are designed to guide the child in the journey from concrete to abstraction. It is important to note that, as every child is different, students don't have to go through all materials or steps on every material. There are students that will be able to abstract after stamp game and others after bead frame or golden mat. Some operations come faster that others. But is important to understand that every time you introduce a new concept is good to go back to use materials. I hope I answered your question. Thanks for watching and your comments!

Why is the stamp for ones and thousands both in green? Just want to know if there is any special reason. Won't it be less confusing if 1000 stamp was in some other colour?

Because green represents the units and in fact, thousands are units of thousands. Ten thousands are blue again (there are not on the stamp game but there are on the large bead frame or racks and tubes), hundred thousands are red, and millions are green again, it is a pattern. Thanks for watching!
