Looks good but not really useful when you have multiple visuals and users are wanting to cross highlight based on multiple selections. Gets messy with the ctrl click and can be confusing when the selection clears.

I agree and disagree, with a 1-1 interaction between the visual and "slicer" it works very well, with cross filtering , multiple selections not as much. These are meant to be treated as filters for a specific visual. Another scenerio, let's say you create groups/bucket for a visual (this happens). Instead of applying the groups to the visual an the axis, you can add this to the filter made specifcly for the one visual. I find users find it easier to see a total view and select the bucket, instead of this being split by legends, axis etc. There's not right or wrong per say with this, it's more if you find a use case, it's nice to be aware. Some teams will love this others won't.
