[4K] Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Steam Train

The Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad operates 24" steam trains on two miles out of Cripple Creek, CO. Running through the rugged Rocky Mountain scenery provides many impressive sights on the former Florence & Cripple Creek right of way towards Victor.
The locomotive featured is 0-4-0T 3, a 1927-built Porter tank engine. The 3 is the only American-built steam engine on the roster.

I was the engineer for this railroad for 4 years. I know the Henschel is the favorite, but the Porter is far and away my favortie to run. I miss that job!

It’s nothing weird to be honest. In fact, Cripple Creek & Victor No. 3 is my favorite steam locomotive at the CC&V.

I have been to the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad once, that was back in June 30th 2022. Two years ago. When they were running Cripple Creek & Victor No. 3 here. It’s the only American Steam Locomotive in the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad collection.
