Sable was well on her way to destroying Alexis, after purchasing major Colbyco assets,. ( the Carlton hotel, and those seven Colbyco tankers, bought at.private auction from the Natural government), nearly destroying Colbyco with that lawsuit!!!! Whatever happened to make Sable change her mind about following through with the lawsuit against Colbyco?

Anthony Cashmere Sable dropped the lawsuit because Blake found out that his father--Tom Carrington might have killed Alexis' former lover, Roger Grimes, and that his father had Nazi treasure hidden deep in the mansion, as well as two skeletons. Alexis may not have known about the skeletons, but she DID know about the Nazi treasure. The truth coming out would have ruined Blake and his family for generations....Alexis threatened to reveal that--it didn't seem to occur to her that such a scandal would've ruined her children and grandchild as well. Sable, wonderful woman that she is, always deeply values family, and promised Krystle, whom she cares about deeply, that she would look out for Blake. She wasn't going to let Alexis destroy Blake, the children, grandchildren, and especially Blake's youngest daughter Krystina, whom Sable was very fond of. So, ultimately, Sable turned down a spectacular opportunity for revenge, all in the name of loyalty, friendship and family. But Sable is an intelligent woman. I'm sure she would have found another way to get revenge on Alexis.

Eric Brown Hm.......they COULD be. It turns out Sable was either 18, 19 or 20 when she married Jason, and they were trying to have a baby. Around that time, a man raped her (she didn't reveal his name. He could have attacked her at night, so she might not have seen his face) and she became pregnant soon after that, so either Jason is the father, or her rapist. Unlike Jason, Frankie and Alexis, Sable isn't a cheater. A DNA test was never taken. Sable assumed her rapist was the father, as she and Jason trying for a child didn't produce one before that, but she might have been pregnant then and not had known at all. Also, when Sable was raped, the only person she told at the time was Alexis (she trusted her back then). Years later, Alexis told Jason and he disowned Monica and Miles. I don't know if Alexis told Jason that Sable was raped, or said something else. Not that it matters...Jason raised them for over 20 years, and still disowned them, the bastard.

The only reason to watch The Colbys is to see the acting tour de force of Stephanie Beacham…and that house, lol. Several episodes began to revolve around her, because her presence onscreen was just so amazing. Her energy brought out the best in a lot of the cast…except maybe Katharine Ross, who looked weak and clueless in comparison. And Charleron Heston who looked and acted too old to be married to her.

HnHBlkM Frankie is also "easy" in general. Jason probably has to keep an eye on her 24/7 because she has no qualms about giving her "affections" to any guy around, even if she was committed or married to another. She is also far too dull. Sabella is also a brilliant and strong woman, as well as beautiful. Jason must have secretly felt intimidated, as Sable is clearly far more superior. He wanted to run the show 24/7, but when Sable is in the room--all eyes are on HER.

The producers considered several American actresses for the role of Sable (including Faye Dunaway), I imagine they didn't consider making her Alexis' cousin until after Stephanie Beacham. That one throw-away line causes so much trouble - making Fallon the cousin of both her husbands. Couldn't they have said Sable and Alexis were classmates? They could have attended the same art school (where Alexis probably slept with her teacher).

It was planned that they are similar from the very beginning. In an article written in "US" Magazine in November 1985 to promote "Dynasty II: The Colbys" you can read the similaries between the two women and characters are visible. And John James as Jeff Colby was on the cover of this issue by the way.

Pamela Sue was done with the show. She wasn't coming back. Producers could have kept Fallon dead or recast. I didn't think Samms was the right choice. I thought Susan Dey (Partridge Family) would have been a good fit. This was before L.A. Law. Dey looked pretty similar to Martin and was around the same age. Dey had just finished on Richard and Esther Shapiro's other primetime soap, Emerald Point, N.A.S.
