Yeah, started going downhill from DW5, when troops truly became fodder. It’s odd because 4XL had maybe the toughest AI in the series, to a cheap degree actually. DW3 and XL literally had it perfect though so no idea why they changed it.

DW3 is my alltime favorite. To me it’s the best DW series of all. Unique story and cutscene for each character when playing musou mode, cool combo (I love that you can send your enemy flying up and jump to hit him/her down, the only series when I really get scared of Lu Bu lol, too much things to love from this game, even the annoying bowman or major soldier which is sometimes fight briliantly, blocks alot, and knocks you with musou.

@@melvynh1021 yeah man specially when he's on rage mode lol. But for me, it is still DW3 Lu Bu. Remember that Hu Lao Gate cutscene when Lu Bu appear charging on red hare horse and slam Yuan Shu's troop? Now that's terrifying

It’s like a tie between 3 and 4 to me (expansions included). DW5 and onward is just not the same. Troops becoming fodder with easy high KO counts, and officers becoming like a DW3 foot soldier, was just not the way

this game and legaia 2 duel saga were my 1st games i had played in about 2006 on the ps2 which was my 1st console since the nes. it was beautifull. thank you for this. i still play DW8 today once in a while.

DW3 had the best graphics and resolution from all dw ps2 games. I guess they lowered graphics quality in 4 and 5 in order to improve draw distance and got rid of this fog in front of you
