Do you have the stars for missions prior to this one? Sometimes previous missions can have an affect on later ones.

it best to unlock characters in story mode since once you have unlock them in story mode you can buy they ex weapons at any time but if you unlock them in Ambition Mode you can only buy them in Ambition Mode and if you reset Ambition Mode you can't buy the ex weapon unless you have the officer available in story/free mode

You can hit 'back' in the area before the battle and pick skip if you want to skip the talking to people

level up the blacksmith in Ambition Mode level 45-50, best to raise it to level 50 since you will get rank 2-4 weapon when it iss level 45-49 and rank 3 and 4 only when it is at level 50, once you have done that all you need to do is unlocking the officer for any mode (best to unlock them for story and free mode) also you can only buy ex weapon for officers that are unlock, (eg to buy Bombs you need to unlock Dong Zhuo since Bombs are his ex weapons)

Li Jian withdraws from the battle within 10 seconds of the stage beginning and I can't defeat him at the start. He returns to the battle later once I make it to Guo Hai, but he's wearing a Wei Uniform. I slay him automatically, and the doors open, and I go in to Guo Hai, and it says hes wounded, but then I get a message saying "Rescued Guo Hai." This does NOT give me the star. D: What am I doing wrong?

Great video jerzeeboii. Just wanted to make a comment: Li Jian will not appear in the battle if you have not yet acquired the star from the Jin stage 'Xiahou Ba's Journey' (which you get for getting the star from Coup d'etat). Even if you complete all the requirements, Xiahou Ba will replace Li Jian and you will not be able to get the star, despite the game telling you that you saved Guo Hai.

Hey, I love yer guides but on this one li jian keeps leaving the battlefield, it's all timed so that if I rush there on horse he withdraws right on time. I even did manage to beat him and the game even recognised that, but everytime I get to the end the same stupid dialogue keeps happening about him being a shu solider. Even if I beat him before his statement. I have all prior stars as well so it's getting a little frustrating.

Ah, I tried testing faster a faster route and got it and noticed different dialogue and noticed when rewatching this video I was taking the wrong route. I only paid mind to you saying go east, haha, my mistake.

i think zhuge liang is best strategiest of his time one time he managed to trick sima yi with his empty fort strategy zhuge lian only had 1000 soldiers while sima yi had 100 000 watch zhuge liang empty fort strategy on yuotube
