It turns out that it wasn’t illness that killed Zhuge Liang. That shooting star that Sima Yi saw just so happened to hit him with such an angle that it would be fatal, while not showing any wounds, and Sima Yi was able to deduct this from just looking at the star alone- Sorry, what was I saying?

DW9 was done on some cheap engine, while DW8 was modified version of DW7 engine. Which is why both of them looks really nice comparing to DW9

Inconclusive, after Zhuge Liang died the Shu army retreated but Sima Yi didn't pursue them. It ended in Sima Yi's favor however.

Adding to this, Sima Yi had a major advantage throughout the entire campaign, however the saying "a dead Zhuge scares away a living Zhongda" was caused by Zhuge Liang setting up a fake dummy of himself wearing his clothes just before he died, so when Sima YI charged after correctly guessing Zhuge Liang died, he would see the dummy and order a retreat believing he was wrong and Zhuge Liang was still alive. When Sima YI realized it was all a trick he didn't pursue further since the Shu had no chance to fight back. Considering all factors, without Zhuge Liang's final plans and mind games then Sima Yi would of crushed Shu at this point.

wait , this is historical right? then playing as Zhao Yun will be impossible as he died long before the battle Wuzhang Plain even started 😂.... well perhaps the so called Historical Mode isn't too Historical after all

The Jin story, that starts at the Wuzhang Plains, has Zhao Yun on the Shu side. Just take it as one of DW's creative liberties. (It pays more respect to the novel then to history anyway.)

Zhao Yun is on the field for this stage. The only reason he is not playable is to move on to the new era of the younger generation.

yup, zilong passed away before this battle took place well, maybe koei feels that jiang wei, ma dai, xingcai and wei yan is not enough as the main character in this battle.. LOL

what's more funny is that if Zhao Yun indeed survived until this battle happened , he probably have aged 65 YO 😂😂 and yet he still so young , well koei hasn't implemented Aging mode for the characters but it's still funny
