On top of unnaturally low damage, I think Yuan Shao's normal Musou attack (where he makes a round sweep and then stabs his sword into the ground) is among the weakest Musou attacks in the game, though I haven't thoroughly tested that.

Yeah, even when I put some broken elements like gale and battleaxe, his attacks is still really weak. It's kinda ashame that the nerf hurts his character in this game.

His first ground musou suffers from drastic buffs and drastic nerfs ever since DW7. It was useless in DW7, amazing in DW7XL, one of the best musous in WO3 but then it ended up being TOO good so they nerfed it way too much for DW8. Problem with Yuan Shao is that he can do high damage but for some reason the elements are unreliable to properly activate. Which is a shame cos naturally he is a very good and balanced character but the weirdness with his elements let him down on Ultimate. He is one of the safest characters to use as well which is a great shame he can never be at his full potential for Ultimate.
