For those who are trying to get the 6th weapon for every character trophy my shortcut advice to you guys is that you can play 2 player split screen and can use your OP character as your 2nd player to do all the dirty work so you don't have to level up every single character. The first player is the person who is trying to get their weapon so what I did is let them hop on an elephant and use a rubberband to tie down the left analog so player 1 can run around in circles. Make sure you run around in the main camp area where it is the safest spot. I recommend getting Lu bu's 6th weapon 1st because its the most broken weapon since it can heal and have attack speed when you weapon switch. My OP character was Lv 150 Zhou Tai with his 6th weapon & Lu Bu's 6th weapon equipped while using Curved Sword mobility jump attack to get around if you are lazy to get the red hare.

In DW6 there was never any specialty weapons where it requires certain conditions and higher difficulty to get them. The only thing the highest difficulty would get you was higher power and more effects. I'll admit my favorite in the DW series was DW3 for PS2. But damn this level is so intense and awesome. That's what I call a level. Especially with Lu Bu, makes it even more awesome.

Hi Xaldin! love the videos, first off I know their a bit old, but i've been obsessed with them. I'm actually getting a ps4 soon for this and future koei releases (switching from my xbox 360 to get exclusives and the like) and just wanted to ask how the game was, is it true you can change affinity and elements on 5th and 6th weapons? and also how is the performance? like when does the game tend to slowdown? the 360 version is ok but stages like chibi are horrible as far as frame rate goes xD anyways im sure you and others are switched over to empires by now, but i'd appreciate a reply :) p.s sorry for the giant comment.

Razgreiz 25 DW8 doesn't slow down too bad actually, but usually in places there's fire you'll notice it happen. Mostly pretty solid however. But that's for the PS3 version, I hear the Ps4 version has much less frame rate drops.

You're asking how I got the Unearthly Halberd? It's a DLC weapon I bought. Soul Crusher is Lu Bu's 5 Star weapon and has to be unlocked.

Wait, every guide i read in the web tells me that there are boxes that need to be found after fulfilling the requirements but here you got it immediately. And also : Do you need to coplete the story mode of a character to get his/her 5 and 6 star weapon or can you do that without makint the characters story mode ? I didn't get it immediately. I got a message saying the treasure was discovered, then went to go get it. Check the time stamp in the description and look at the map, that's where the box you need to pick up is. When you get the message saying the treasure is there, you can check the battle log and see where the weapon is located. I also said where it's located in the description. And of course the video itself shows me picking it up. No, you do not need to complete story mode to get 5/6 star weapons. You just have to be that character and be playing on Hard.

Xaldin007 Here’s how I do it and I’m on ps3 and ps4 by the way: This process starts with the ps3. It starts with Dynasty Warriors 8 Vanilla. All you have to do is keep fulfilling “X” character’s 5th weapon conditions until you have reached the desired amount of that weapon once you’re satisfied start a new game on DW8XL and it will ask you if you want to transfer your data from 8 Vanilla and you say yes to that. If you want to get this data over to the PS4 as well then you’re going to have to upload your save data from the ps3 from DW8XL to PSN and then download it when you get onto your PS4. This has to be done on DW8 Vanilla because Xtreme Legends won’t let you do this for some reason. I’ve done some testing and you can only farm the 5th weapon. Neither the DLC 5th weapon’s nor the 6th weapon’s can be farmed.

I have a question, i try to find guides/examples on how to collect the "RARE" weapons for every char. What is being referred to here? I know it's not the 5'th weps like the one you unlock her. Rare weapons are said to be able to farmed only from playable chars, and is inside a wep box, instead of the classic "weapon stuck in the ground look" as the playable chars usually drop Can anyone provide me with an example of a rare weapon? deffcon9 The weapons you're talking about are random drops by defeating playable characters. They have 1-3 gold stars. The easiest level to grind these is the "Capture of Wei - Wei Forces" stage only available in free mode. Just keep repeating the stage until you have them all.

Would you consider this to be worth it? Since you can't change the attributes/elements on the weapons I feel like I'm lacking a lot of stuff. The raw damage on these 6 stars is higher, but in high level stages the lack of %hp elements seems to be painful, what do you think?
