Mike's rules include the rules about the three hardest things for bands to find and get right, which are 1) someone who can write a good musical tune that is not derivative and not cliche that doesn't sound like everyone else and is memorable that goes somewhere and has a point; 2) someone who can sing; and 3) someone who knows how to properly mix and master music without burying the vocals or over compressing, etc. Each one of these things is hard to find, so if a band has all three, it's rare. These guys do their 80's metal style very well and seem to have all of these elements. This was very pleasant to listen to.
