On the contrary, pausing and giving commentary is essential in a reaction video. But it could be good to wind back 10 seconds or so to get back into the flow of it.
@K4OSR

@kimdron256 And don't go to comments if you're looking for complete agreement. There's nothing wring with skipping back when returning to the video. That's a reason for the Left Arrow hotkey. The problems come up when reactors miss parts of the video by talking over it or pausing while missing the flow of a part. I can only speak for myself but I watch reactions to enjoy the honest feedback of others while hoping to highlight the merits of the subjective art. Without guidelines like this that have been validated by the success of many reactors, newer channels face a tougher path to success in the sea of similar content. Your jab at someone in the comments section neither helps the content creator nor aids in raising positivity in the fanbase they hope to foster. Pause as often as needed to stay monetized but don't undermine the viewed art by not showing full attention to it.

@StevenMRA

Sabaton does TRUE stories of war - they don't "pick sides", but instead show true stories of valor, mercy, and heroism. If I might suggest/request? Please do "No Bullets Fly" (the ~8:50 long animated story version - with YarnHub). It's the true story of a German fighter pilot who saw a **very** damaged B-17 (American bomber) and after flying up close to it he could see it was full of wounded men that had no fight left in them. Instead of shooting it down (which was his job & duty) he extended mercy to them and ESCORTED them out of Germany. It also shows the men 40+ years later when they met and became good friends - the "ripples in a pond" effects of that one act of compassion. Also - you might like "Night Witches" (again, the longer animated story version) telling the story of WWII Russian WOMEN who became the terror of the German army. Or - for a Christian story? Try "The Last Stand" - the story of how a small group of Swiss mercenaries, dedicated to their faith, saved the pope from an invading army - and why the Swiss Guard, to this day, are the personal guard of the Vatican.

Sabaton most often sing about more or less known historical events of war, presenting the facts but never glorifying war in any way but rather depict the horrors and sorrows that the soldiers are exposed to. This song is about the spontaneous truce that happend at Christmas 1914 along the front lines of WWI. Soldiers stopped fighting and started singing Christmas carols in the trenches and in some cases came out, met their enemies as friends for the one day, exchanged gifts, played games and buried their dead. This wasn't popular with the higher ups who put a stop to it and in many cases had to move soldiers to other parts of the fron line, or even had to make examples by executing some, due to the fact that they didn't want to fight the soldiers they'd gotten to know on the other side. If you want the historical facts behind the song Sabaton has their own History Channel, Sabaton History, where they go through the historical events that their songs are based on with a legitimate historian, here's the link for Christmas Truce: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnvUZ2eae5qNnLM EDIT: Never stop a Sabaton song, always let it run out since quite often they have some historical facts or tidbits in the song at the end which you don't want to miss. In this it's not a historical fact but that you see that he person who sings the aria at the end if Floor Jansen who's lead singer in Nightwish and also wife of the drummer in Sabaton, Hannes van Dahl, who is blonde soldier from the start of the video and the one who goes out of the trenches first.

This song is based on true accounts of the Christmas Truce that happen during WW1 in 1914. It was an unofficial truce between the German and English forces on the front. On Christmas Eve they collectively decided to stop shooting. The opposing sides were within shouting distance of each other. They began singing Christmas carols back and forth to each other. Eventually the soldier began to emerge from the trenches and mingle they wished each other merry Christmas, played a friendly game of football (soccer) buried their dead and exchanged gifts. It was an incredible moment of humanity in the worst human conflict we had seen thus far. It took them 7 years to gather material for this song and music video. This really scared the higher ups on both sides, they were concerned that the men would refuse to fight or even mutiny.

I was reading through the comments, and since no one has shared this sad fact, I will. After this happened, the generals from both sides did not want to see it happen again, so they started ordering artillery attacks every Christmas after that. The practice of bombing the front lines during Christmas continued during WW2 as well. This beautiful moment in history sadly has never been repeated.

This is not a story ,this is history. Sorry, but I have to seriously ask what you are actually taught in history class, that you cannot classify this event that really took place. And then you should let the songs play to the end, especially when it comes to people who lost their lives. Could be seen as disrespectful. It's also the first reaction I've had to see, where people are laughing while watching these events. Maybe you should have a little less fun with something like this and rather remember the people who had to go through it. But that's just my opinion.

They've just met this awesome band for the first time and listened to this anesome music with carol melody, Joakim's fantastic deep voice and got overwhelmed by all of this together, and yes, also the action in this video is interesting. One more thing: it might interest you that Joakim has said on more than one occasion that he sometimes draws musical inspiration from Lutheran hymns. For example, in the "Primo Victoria" Sabaton History video, he said that the choir part was structured to sound like a hymn. This can be seen most obviously in "The Royal Guard," which actually takes its chorus melody straight from Schonnster Herr Jesu ("Beautiful Savior").

You did NOT listen to the whole song when the lyrics came up. Then about Sabaton: Sabaton is a Swedish power metal band from Falun, which was formed in 1999. The band's songs are inspired by various historical wars. Even the band name is military inspired, as Sabaton is also the name of the part of the armor that covers the foot. Sabaton has toured with, among others, Iron Maiden, Scorpions and Hammerfall All the music that Sabaton sings is based on real war events throughout human history. To help them, they have 3 historians who look for different war stories and who might be interesting for Sabaton to make music from, and Sabaton has its fans all over the world who can send in about a war story that happened in their country, so these 3 the historians and bring the facts about it to Sabaton. All the band members of Sabaton love history and therefore they make music out of it. So fans who want to learn more historically about the background of the songs Sabaton sings, they go to Sabaton History www.youtube.com/@SabatonHistory and look for the song they want to know more about the story behind. Many Americans who respond to Sabaton's music all say that thanks to Sabaton they learned the history they never got to learn in school. Because they only get to learn the military stories that the US has been involved in. It should be pointed out that Sabaton has received several awards and been honored in many countries for highlighting their country's history. Sabaton has even made a special history film that can be seen in various museums around the world, i.e. the museums that have chosen to do so with Sabaton.

As a fourth generation vet, I went through the comments on the rules and requirements for watching / reacting to these amazing artists, and can not help but think , if this is what is happening to freedom, where real is wanted as long as it follows our rules like they are Gods rules, then what was the point. Why was this old vet not upset when she was smiling and laughing? Watching her from day one, I already know the more she starts to cry, the bigger her smile gets trying to hide her emotions. Amazing artist, amazing true story that needs to be remembered, not have rule makers that don't own the song or the event acting like they own both. Sad what freedom has become. Look up the story. It happened, and yes, right after, they had to go back to shooting and killing each other. The Army heads did not want men to be humane and lose the will to fight their fellow man, so put "fratranizing with enemy" rules in afterward so it can not happen again. Ending credits are sung by Floor Jansen, lead singer if Nightwish and wife of the Drummer Hannes.

and you will notice that such stories did not occur during WW2. This is because in WW1 all nations involved are christian. In WW2 the majority of the Axis powers did not celebrate Christmas. The Germans which was one of the sides portrayed in this video while in WW1 claimed to be christian, but the Later Nazi regime that was in power later during the second world war was avidly anti christian. Hitler himself considered Christianity to be a crime against nature. So even though most of the German people at the time of the war considered themselves to be Protestant, the military command was under orders to dissuade the practice.

good thing you did not show the credits. would not want to give the original creators any credit during your "hard work" of using their content... very christ like

Be courteous enough to watch a video to the end. I watched your 'reaction' but won't like it.

Who cares it's only the credits , away and watch other people react to it instead.

Worst reaction to Sabaton ever. You missed Floor Jensen's wonderful solo. Sabaton songs are always watched until the end, regardless of whether they are the end credits or the film. Never make this mistake again.
