The FACTs of selecting the right fiber for mooring lines: Temperature

Dyneema® fiber is used in a variety of applications and environments, with broad ranges in temperature and loading conditions. Dyneema® SK78 can withstand extreme temperature fluctuations - making it equally suitable for use in the Arctic as in the Middle East. In addition, our proprietary temperature model allows for accurate prediction of rope core temperatures in high ambient temperatures and/or severe use conditions. Modelling rope core temperature behavior proves the suitability of Dyneema® SK78 in Middle East mooring conditions.
