Tim is always so calm and collected he definitely knows what he's doing. I couldn't believe the torque on the micro that thing was wanting to take off. 🏁🇺🇸🏁🤙

What engine is in this? Around me micro sprints are 250cc dirt bike engine powered and this looks and sounds like a 3 or 4 cyl motorcycle engine?

Heya Thomas. I asked this question before: Why aren't Sprint Car front tires siped at an angle like midgets ?
@tmezTv8 ай бұрын
I’m gonna go ahead and say it’s because they are cut like a modified tire and the 15 inch wheel is a full-size car tire. I’m sure it has something to do with the mold.

You’re the best!! Tim has taught me everything I know about the fuel system, and when we show up to the race track, most of the people I drive sprint cars for I am the most knowledgeable person in the pits bc of it

I didn’t figure you’d run dirt cars on a chassis dyno, but a couple of unstaggered asphalt tires and it’s golden.
@tmezTv8 ай бұрын
I believe he actually runs the sprint cars with a very hard compound silver crown, right rear tire. You can see them in the background I think

just cause it runs on a dyno doesnt mean itll run on the track.

By this logic, athletes shouldn't practice their sport. Just get out there and do it by "feel" in the game
@nickmanning33078 ай бұрын
@@austinbarber9135 well if you want to be honest yea true athletes can do that. but not what i said exactly. every motor runs great on the dyno and can make good numbers. that doesnt always translate to running well on the track. dyno is under ideal conditions. you can work out some bugs on the dyno but doesnt mean you wont have a problem on the track. and the driver and crew should be able to tell by reading plugs and other stuff and the driver should be able to tell how the engine feels if its right or not. and that little bit of horse power means nothing.
