Looks a little soft on spring/bars. But other than that looks great. Seat time is a key factor.

@@racenriggs98 I agree, we started with 1025s all the way around, I’m thinking about 1050s in the front

Sylas took his sprint car to pikes peak a couple years ago. Pretty cool

Thanks man. The car he drove was not actually a sprint car, it’s a sprint car’s bigger and heavier brother, a next generation “silver crown” or “champ car” car that was run wingless on pavement super speedways in the early 2000s for 3 years, mostly as a support series for Indy car. My best friend was on the tour for 2 of the 3 years. For comparison, his car is 2500lbs while mine is about 1900lbs. I like his car and what he and Roger Johnson accomplished but it’s not a sprint car (even though he proclaimed it was lol). My car’s chassis ran with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2017. I know some will try to argue that but midgets and silver crown cars are not sprint cars.

Awesome. Why not run an automatic transmission? I figured the technology is there? I know it would be a complete start over deal but looks like there would be a lot less trouble. Keep digging buddy

I would love to go that route but there isn’t an auto trans that is small enough and able to support 500+ hp, I plan to get a TTi sequential 4 or 5 speed but it’s $10k.

Whats the point of this race? You said hill climb but i dont see any hill climbing. Im just confused as to why theres such different style cars all out doing laps on a f1 style track...

These types of events are sanctioned by the Pa Hillclimb Association but you’re correct, they are not considered hillclimbs, these track based events are called track sprints. They are run the same way as a hillclimb, solo timed runs. There are two types of hillclimb racing, this type is more road racing based and is also the oldest form of motor racing in the world, the other is straight up a dirt hill that’s more like a cliff. Classes are determined by several factors like engine displacement, type of chassis/car, etc. (a lot of that I still am learning) The goal is to have the fastest time for both your class and overall.
