Scram the custom Interceptor Scrambler built by Will Keith at Revelry Cycles/Royal Enfield Sydney being tested at Sydney Dyno Pty Ltd. Because everybody keeps asking, here it is.
Project Scram:
S&S 865cc Big Bore Kit
S&S Cam Kit
S&S Clutch Kit
S&S Exhaust
Revelry Racing CNC Big Valve Cylinder Head
Revelry Racing 40mm Billet Throttle Body
Revelry Racing Secondary Air Eliminator
PowerTRONIC tuner (still set to stock rev limit)
75.98 HP @ 7,400 RPM (still climbing as it hits stock rev limit)
57.19 FP @ 6300 RPM
Hits 50 FP at 3,300 RPM and pulls straight across. Still pulling 52 when it hits the limiter.
It really is a fire breathing, tyre smoking, wheelie popping little monster. It's like riding a great big dirt bike and it's HUGE fun.

It's a shame that the 865cc isn't a standard option available from the factory. In that case, the cost would bee nearly the same as the 650cc.

Crank will start knocking i think as rod n bearing will be same on crank so extra bore might kill it. For performance its very good, salute to you guys. In 30k kms need to overhaul crank and all bearings or may be you are using some extra hard bearings.

Hi, do you think there is any risk on breaking your enging whit the big bore? Ive seen a lot of dirt bikes whit big bore like a yzf250 whit a 280 big bore break, since then im a littlw afraid of this types of moddifications, i also think that you should do service maintance more often whit that kind of setup, i dont know if im right, what do u think?

This is done the right way albeit at some expense, for those average riders who contemplate such mods, I would say from my perspective this is an exercise on what is possible with this robust little engine as an example from a professional shop, or for a racing application, no doubt there are suspension and brake upgrades as well, (or there should be). Doing all this for the average rider would be cost prohibitive if you had to also pay the labor, and your better off just buying a Triumph Speed twin or some such equivalent. Now if I had my own shop, I'd do it in a heart beat, just for the fun.

In Australia a Speed Twin (1200 cc) is over $20,000 A RE Twin with a big bore, mufflers, air filter and tuner WITH LABOUR is around $15,000. If you want to compare a 900 to a 900 the Street Twin is $15,890.00 and the T100 is $17,300.
@DEeMONsworld

@@RevelryCycles Your'e right, I was just throwing out an example of a turn key solution to performance, I had a Street twin and did all the intake exhaust mods plus threw in a cam, dialed down the gearing and it turned a 3.9 second 0-60 mph time. but it was an expensive bit of kit all said and done. I now own an Interceptor and just put on a 2>1 exhaust lowered the gearing a tad, and intake mods, and its a sweet bike for less than half the price of a ST. Not sure I'd go the full monty on it even if I could, but its nice to see someone doing it right.

@@RevelryCycles The 2020 Street Twin makes 65 hp and 60 torques, quite a bit less than a RE 865.
@DEeMONsworld
@DEeMONsworld 4 жыл бұрын
@@PrimoStracciatella not ny street twin, not sure your point stock to stock, stock to modded. My modded street twin was closer to 70 + hp. And tuned with higher timing and rev limit. But the real point is that that first 3 to 5 horsepower comes fairly cheaply with exhaust modification in take mods, fueling maps, etc. it's that second set of 3 to 5 horsepower that cost money and it's dubious whether the average rider is willing to tear his engine apart sleeve it put new pistons in put a cam and port and polish put a new clutch put the suspension on as required in order to get a limited amount of more performance
@DEeMONsworld
@DEeMONsworld 4 жыл бұрын
As an aside regarding my royal enfield interceptorwith a simple to other one exhaust swap intake modification and gearing and along with the associated 25 lb weight reduction which equates to additional HP, it accelerates quite nicely and the weight reduction is noticeably different the handling is excellent. the power is just about right for the level of this bike it's not a naked bike it's not a racing bike, and i think these mods are appropriate for the price range and quality level of this bike, but that's just my opinion. PS: dynoed at 53 rwhp for under 600 bucks.
