You "can" mill up to 1mm (.040") from the cylinder head surface. However, with a 90mm big bore kit, the resulting static compression ratio is 12.43:1, which is not suitable for pump fuel. You will absolutely need to machine the valve pockets in the pistons for clearance as well.

Thanks guys! I'm not too far to the south of you and considering these upgrades for my 650 Conti GT currently. How far down the rabbit hole I go seems to be a whim of the moment - I love being able to wring the power out of the stock motor and hear the note but we ll know a liiiiiitle bit more power is tempting! Excellent video! Congratulations! My interceptor has low idle speed, something around 1050 rpm when hot. It was not like this some months ago. TB is clean, new spark plugs NGK CR8E, canister blocked, PAIR valve blocked, crank breather disconnected, air filter cover with intake size increased, sport slip-ons, valves regulation OK. The problem with low rpm started many months after all that mods. Bike runs fine, and everything else is OK. I've regulated the cables stopper screw and bike gone crazy, it just can't hold engine on when hot and when I turn it off and back on. After some seconds it stabilizes. Do you have any idea what could it be? Maybe rectifier? Thank you very much!

Yo, so I've got this Interceptor 650 2024, right? It's only done 1500km, but I put an AEW exhaust on it. Now, here's the thing, one of the exhausts is way louder than the other. And get this, when I give it some gas, I hear this weird blast-like sound. I tried switching the exhausts from left to right, even swapped the spark plugs, but the problem's still there. The right cylinder's exhaust is just plain louder. Any clue what the heck is going on?

good morning and greetings from Southern California. I love your channel and just subscribe. I just picked up a 2021 royal enfield Continental GT and I’m absolutely in love. I have a question if you can help. On the top of the cylinder head, there is a plate that’s held down by 48 mm bolts. I want to remove the bolts and slide the cylinder head plate out so I can polish it but I’m curious if those 48 mm boltsare structural so remove them. Also, what is the torque on installing those 8 mm bolts back in? Thank you so much.
