Top quality workmanship brother, the canopy deal appears to be a fair trade too, well done to you once more : )

Question, if you over tighten the center bolt of the spinner will that dent in the nose? Perhaps you should extend that center rod to touch the end of the spinner so that it tightens securely. Just thinking out loud. Hate to have that spinner come loose from vibration.
@Dynodon645 күн бұрын
@@zzzdogutube Yes it will dent it. It needs pulled in just a little to make a flat spot under the bolt for it to sit right. A small dab of blue locktite should be enough to keep it locked.
@zzzdogutube4 күн бұрын
@@Dynodon64 well I wanted to bring it up because sometimes we follow other designer's design when they may not be the best way. I think I'd make a spacer to go between the shaft and the spinner end so it wouldn't rely on the tension on the thin wall of the nose cone to hold it. Your way should be fine because the other one was that way but you can see my reasoning. I over think things sometimes. Don't take it as criticism just as a different idea. Good job ! Thanks for replying.

@@zzzdogutube I just did that for my friends' spinner, and will do it to mine as well.

"Threw the blades on for effect!"; it's a great effect! Oof, you got to talking about NPN and PNP and you started to sound a bit like Porky Pig! 😉😉 But, as long as you got it figured out, it's all good! 😎😎 So, regarding your propeller; do they make blades that are more like the proper shape (like the propeller from 1943)? Those spinners look great, don't forget the Loctite.

These are the only type of blade Warp Drive makes.

Love the new prop and spinner work. What is the prop dia. And pitch? How does it compare with the OG prop. This new one looks more scale.
@Dynodon644 күн бұрын
72 inch diameter, same exact prop as before. Just a newer style of hub and the tips are square. I will be rounding them like the old ones. Pitch is ground adjustable. It's measured at the tip. The original was at 10 degrees. I will be adding more with this one, maybe @12 degrees total.
