Thanks for this. It sucks experiencing it all though; as just because it's being researched doesn't mean anything is being done to help those in need. I'm in that boat and can't seem to get any help with the issue (without paying millions of dollars, of course) and so I have to be my own doctor and suffer the endless consequences. It's a sad reality when you go through these things and can no longer enjoy the things that you used to love. So live full and try to enjoy every moment of your life while you still have it. I'm trying the same but don't think I'll make it past 30 :/ But I guess it is what it is.

You need to see a cardiologist you can do the 10 minute standing test or the tilt table test. There are different forms of dysautonomia such as pot syndrome or hyper adrenergic pots which can cause tremors and seizure like activity. A cardiologist who specializes in dysautonomia can suggest medication. High salt diet up to 10,000 mg of sodium Highwater diet leg exercises like cycling on a recumbent bike as well as swimming and leg weights can make the biggest change. As well as medication’s like Beta blockers mitrodine etc Can help get the symptoms under control. Recovery is possible

@@traceykerr572 THANK YOU. Oddly enough, the thing that had helped me out the most (aside from a strictly healthy diet) was cod liver oil tablets. I'm assuming that either the Omega 3s, the Vitamin A, Vitamin D or the combination of all three of those things (as cod liver oil contains all of those) is what has helped me out dramatically. Hopefully the beneficial effects last! So far so good! *Edit* - I did notice that eating a super salty meal would help me normalize in the past though. So, that was some good advice and helped me to realize that high salt every now and again wouldn't be too bad (so long as I stay hydrated) =).

I have autonomic dysfunction that affects my psns after a traumatic brain injury. My brain liked to tell my heart beating was optional. My heart rate would drop down to the teens. They put a pacemaker defibrillator in. I also do not feel when I have to urinate so I retain urine and get UTIs. I set alarms to remind myself to go to the bathroom. I get constipated. I do not get hungry. My blood pressure stays very low. 90/40. Body temp runs 96.4

Can a functional MRI work for someone with severe claustrophobia? My husband is in great need of help from Cognitive Fx, but had to be knocked out for an MRI after the first concussion.

Thanks! Very informative. I had a concision after a car wreck. The ER had me see my regular doctor. He basically said there was nothing he could do. My blood pressure was high at the appointment and it’s normally really low. When I asked he said it’s not a concern. He did refer me to a neurologist but I have no idea how long that will be. It took me over 3 weeks to see my primary. My head is killing me! I have a lot of dizziness. Is high Bp going to cause major issues if I have to wait for my appointment?

First time I wished I lived in Australia. This is me to a tee and so painful and so misunderstood. I've also had a spinal injury and bowel resection pre brain injury(×2) which I've read can exaggerate symptoms

How hard of head injury would have needed to happen to impact the GI for a 7yr old? And how long is and what need to do for recovery? My daughter is currently dealing with these symptoms and recently had a hit to the forehead in school. Hoping it’s just a bug.

The problem is that everybody is different, especially children. Many children and adults alike can hit their heads pretty hard but don't get a concussion, whereas the opposite can happen where a small hit to the head can cause a concussion. This is not medical advice and should not be taken as such, but just keep on an eye on her and if she continues to have these issues for longer than having a bug should take, then taking her to your doctor about a possible concussion is likely in order.

Thank you very much, I got hit very hard at the back of the head, unfortunately I live too far 🇨🇦 from you and I’m poor so I can’t visit you, the problem that I have is that every time I try to go back to intense workout like wrestling i feel extreme fatigue physical and mental like I’m gonna faint and I get anxious, any of your patients experienced it ?!
