Thank you for another spectacularly awesome video and all the hugely interesting information that must have taken a lot of time to research and narrate during post production. It made me realise how much so many of us are losing due to the covid lock-down restrictions. Oh how I would love to be able to walk some of those routes having watched this KZbin post. I don't really know why I felt strangely moved by the sight of that prone "boulder man" on the Flypro footage, also I felt humbled by the fact that it never occurred to me to wonder what the origin of the word "limelight" might have been. Even at my advanced age, it seems I still learn something every day. I drink a toast to your continuing good health with a shot of my newly opened bottle of Penderyn Welsh single malt whisky - "Cheers"

Andy that is fantastic, you really have surpassed yourself with this. Now I know what you have been up to for the last six months! Awesome to watch, your presentation is superb, I loved the way you edited in the other footage, the drone filming was awesome. But it was even more special to see the old footage you obtained from friends, that documentary evidence, alas disappears all to often, so it was fantastic to see it included. Overall, a really well researched and well presented film. Thank you my friend for sharing all your hard work, I hope you are well and safe, and we must meet up again soon. Best wishes, Dave G.

You want to be careful, you will end up working for the BBC at this rate. Excellently put together, when all them quarries are housing estates or something this will be a piece of history. Best wishes and thumbs up :-)

@@andyoutdoors4350 Oh well in that case I will inform you that you were tagged for the Timed Tea Challenge, passed on to me by "Petra goes outdoors" and which I passed on to you and "Bushcraft 'N Fun", but after that splendid historical video was not sure of your direction/situation. Anyway see what you think, I am sure you are not short of things you want to be getting on with. And, just to let you know on the radio front, I invested in an SDR and am currently messing about with antenna theory and practice to try and decode some weather faxes but really need an upconverter as the SDR is not good at the longer wavelengths i.e. in the 518 kHz range, and antennas need some considerable loading to get the size down a bit. Stuggling not to get too side tracked but it is all fairly interesting. Best wishes.

@@GrasshopperOutdoors I will certainly take a look at the tag brother, direction of the channel is still all about the outdoors camping etc with the odd history video thrown in for good measure. yes radio is a fascinating hobby and i glam you are taking an interest in it. Atb Andy

Another great video Andy. Only thing I'm doubtful about is the reference to Dyserth Quarry's narrow gauge railway being a chain-worked incline. When I was a kid it was worked by a diesel loco and as I recall was pretty much on the level.

Great explore Andy . It's great to keep history alive. I did one silmilar to yours, recently on the Maenofferen quarry a few weeks ago. We also got in a wildcamp up there as well. ATB mate :-)
