I made it to the age of 13 without being able to write i was diagnosed as having Dyspraxia something i took no time to understand how it was impacting my life ... 5 years later i was in a young offenders institution serving a 2year sentence .. there is strong connection between dyslexia and criminal behaviour

My mate just started adult reading classes at 46. He couldnt hardly write his name a month ago. What a difference after just 4 x 3hours sessions!! If your dyslexic i guarantee adult reading classes will help you. Arsehole Dr had him on antipsychotics because he was so frustrated. Ive helped him get a medical cannabis prescription as hes being weaned off that shite the doctor gave him. That amd the reading classes have worked WONDERS! So anyone out there struggling , just make that first step ( the most difficult one) and sign up to reading classes and try to get off any shite meds prescribed by a Dr. 👍🏻

This documentary is from 1999. 22 to 23 years later, what are we doing to insure dyslexics get help?
@kareemweaver79352 жыл бұрын
great question. in the United States, the first step act was signed by President Trump; it now requires people entering the federal prison system to be screened for dyslexia and given the help they need. Several states now have screening laws for risk of dyslexia, k-2 grades. some, like California, do not. a bill sits in committee without much hope of getting a vote. apparently, in placed like California, you literally have to wait til you go to prison to get screened for risk of dyslexia
