This is a great review - you show the best way to use this device. I tried it but found it to be too heavy, too large, and too expensive. I prefer my brush straightener - no clamping required! Also, the AirStrait got my hair too straight and knocked out all my volume. I chose to return mine. It was fun to try, though!

I agree with the other comments about your video being the most helpful. I like how you gave the ends a curve. None of the other videos even address that. Do you think the Airstrait could give a root lift for somebody with heavy thick straight hair? I’m looking for a hair tool that can dry and lift the roots at the crown.

This device alone won’t give a dramatic root lift since it mainly smooths the hair. I’d use a round brush at the roots and use the airstrait as a hairdryer while using the round brush to give that lift. The nice thing about this device is it can be used as a regular hair dryer as well. Thank you for the comment, I’m glad the video was helpful 💕

It’ll hold up much like a regular blow out with a hair dryer, once there’s humidity or any kind of water that touches your air it’ll go back into its natural texture

Yes you can use a brush and twist the ends of the hair then use the device as a hair dryer to get that bouncy blow out look

I have the airstrait too and it is amazing. I just hate the big adapter, it is so impractical. May I ask where you got the one with the smaller socket adapter? I don`t know how can I recognize if am I buying a tool with the big one or the small one adapter. Thanks for your advice

The socket adapter depends on which country you live in. I currently live in the US which operates on a 120v. I hope that helps

Yes that’s right no additional hair dryer required as this serves as a hair dryer as well. I’ve noticed if my hair get no humidity or water the straightening effect lasts until the next wash much like if you blow dry your hair straight

I bought the Dyson airstrait and I do love it! Only issue I am having with it is the cord ravels up and does not remain straight. This makes it more challenging and annoying to use. Wondering if the one I received might be defective or everyone else who has this is experiencing the same thing. Have you noticed this with the cord?

How are you positioning the device when styling? When you go from one side to another perhaps keep the cord in mind so that it doesn’t get tangled. Is the cord tight at the base of the device? It shouldn’t be moving at all. I do get the occasional twist in the cord when I go from one side to the other however I just twist the cord back around and don’t have any problems with it while I’m styling since you don’t really twist the device it remains in a downward motion. I hope this helps

Do you have to choose the language and the Fahrenheit button for it to turn on? I just bought one and can’t get past the language selection. Blow dryer will not turn on

Once you choose the language and Fahrenheit preference you won’t need to do that again, next time when you turn the button on it’ll work right away

Do you feel likes it leaved your hair frizzy? The airwrap leaves my hair soooo frizzy I'm kind of in two minds about buying the Airstrait

Because the Airstrait smooths and directs the air downwards it does not leave your hair frizzy at all. I honestly use the Airstrait daily and haven’t been using my airwrap as much. I usually curl my hair with my Dyson straightener
