Dyson Airstrait VS Shark FlexFusion On Curly Hair 😱 SO IMPRESSED!

I had the Dyson airstrait and returned it. For the price, I wasn’t all that happy with it. My air still got frizzy after about 30 minutes. I still had to use a flat iron after drying my hair. I am however interested in trying the shark. I like the idea of the additional attachments. Your hair looked great on both sides but I think I liked the shark side slightly more. Your hair is gorgeous no matter what you do with it though! 😀

I have the Dyson airStrait and love it. I use it to blow dry my hair or straighten it for a sleek look. I did a lot of research and waited for a long time for the right product and deal to buy it. It really depends on the type of hair because the Dyson products are not for all hair types like they advertise. I have 1b hair (straight but wavy and frizzy) so the airStrait works for my hair type. I don’t think it works for very curly hair or ppl who live in very humid environments. Also the price is insane so I waited for a sale and then apply for the credit card to get extra 25% off. So I paid about $290 after all the discounts which I feel I can justify it. I will never pay full price for any Dyson.

I wanted to like the Shark side more because it has more attachments and is cheaper 😂 but the Dyson side looks better. I also think the Dyson was quieter than the Shark. Were you able to get close to your roots with the Shark? I worry it won't get as close as the Dyson does. Thanks for the review! I wonder how this compares to the Revlon and Dyson round brush dryers 🤔.

Yes! With the small round brush I was able to dry the roots super well almost like a regular blow dryer and a round brush would 💕

I have the Dyson AS. I use it when my hair is 50% dry. It leaves my hair silky soft and straight. It’s a game changer. I’ve never been able to give myself a salon blowout until I got the Dyson AirStrait.

Dyson airstrait changed my hair routine I love it , it’s worth every penny ! My hair is wavy -curly the first and second day it’s straight and third days it gets slightly wavy I love it

I own the Dyson air strait so I am curious to know, what exactly is the technology behind shark’s straightening attachment on the flex fusion? does it blow hot air as well as the Dyson, or do you find the sharks attachment is powered by the plates being hotter than the air it blows? Since you kept saying it acts more as a straightener whereas the Dyson airstrait is more of a blowdryer that gives sleek straight blowouts

Yes make the round brush comparison video!! Alsooo who is cutting your hair?? I noticed they are cutting your layers too short where the top of your head of hair lays and your front layers are disconnected! 😮 I also don’t think they’re the same on each side. Your right side on camera (aka your left) falls much nicer than your left. Idk if you noticed that (trying to save your hair from going back to the same hairdresser) lol or maybe that’s considered a curly girl haircut but I think since you’re curly you should have your haircuts when your hair is straightened cause whoever cut it made it look a bit choppy

Dyson won & it’s the best. I use it more than my airwrap. Wet to dry, boost & cool. It lasts without extra damage & works fast. No tension from the airstraight plates. I don’t reach for my hot tools much unless I want it more sleek or to add curls. Invest in Dyson! Nothing compares. It pays off over time & gives lovely results while maintaining healthy hair. I used to get breakage from flat ironing. Now it’s good hair days always.

The Dyson got your hair straighter and quicker after just two passes (the other passes weren't necessary), it was quieter and seems easier to hold than the Shark, which looks big. So, to me, the Airstrait was the winner for wet to dry straight hair. I'm not sure what the reason was for doing the dry passes and not giving your hair a bump when it was on the wet to dry mode. But maybe it can't.... I typically straighten about twice a year because I don't want to damage my curls. I'll use my Airstrait, doing two passes to dry, and once I'm done, I put my hair in two french braids. I either wear the braids and redo throughout the week or take them out after a day or two. I'm just not a fan of pin straight hair on me. I feel bald! So, for me, the Airstrait is the better purchase, and I wouldn't waste my money on that version of the Flex Fusion. I would get the version that came with the diffuser attachment instead of the straightener.

I know it’s not in this video and one blow dries but between the GHD duet brush and Hot tools heated oval brush could you give us your preference/differences? If it worth the extra money for the GHD? If anyone else has used both as well I’d love to hear from you :)

Great video, I like the Shark side better. The Dyson seems great if you like pin straight hair. The Shark side is straight but it flows and has volume. I like the bend.

I saw someone test the heat on the shark in dry mode, and if I remember correctly, it's around 320 degrees, so maybe that's why there's smoke. In wet to dry, it was 230. The dyson side did amazing being that's the curlier side. The shark does the job, but the dyson did better. 💜

Shark is louder, takes longer to style, heavier and uses more heat so more damage over time. Dyson wins🎉

I haven’t bought it but from the videos I’ve watched I kind of feel like the Shark is a bit of ‘jack of all trades and master of none’. That straightening attachment combined with the base looks super cumbersome and it sounds SO LOUD. Here in the UK many of us (like me) boycott Dyson products because of James Dyson’s political views, so I don’t think I’ll be buying either. Great review though Julissa! ❤

Dyson is overrated. A point to note is that these results are just after the starightening. After an hour or two dyson side gets worse. I have seen this in a comparison video before. And in all the videos that ive seen of dyson airstrat is never looks great. Theres always some frizz
