I have both, I feel like the revlon gets so hot it almost damages my hair. The Dyson is expensive but my blow out stays for like 4 days and my hair looks healthier. When you use the brush, start hot and then when your towards the end switch the air to cooler and leave it for about 5- 10 sec. it’s amazing

I have both the air wrap and the revlon, the revlon dries faster but it gets so hot there is no way that using it daily won’t cause serious damage to your hair even with a heat protectant. The price tag on the dyson isn’t for everyone, but you get what you pay for 🤷🏼♀️

Thank you for using the Dyson round attachment. almost everybody else is using the straightening attachment to compare - this is apples to apples.

I have used the Revlon just once a week and can tell how much it has dried my hair. Just purchased the Dyson. Still needed GHD's with the Revlon as wasn't that smooth.

Quynh Pham yes actually! I’m considering buying the dyson hair dryer but this is not much more than that I get so much more than just a hair dryer. So I really wanna know how the hair dryer is

I have the dyson and I’ve been having a hard time with my ends recently as well. I have naturally curly hair so the firm brush has been life changing. But my ends keep flipping up I think because of the airflow. It’s hard to explain. I also just got a hair cut so it’s possible it’s the way my hair was cut? Idk I’m annoyed though lol
@QPlife5 жыл бұрын
Yes! That is exactly the problem I'm having and it is super annoying. I hope Dyson comes out with better-designed attachments in the future. Perhaps adding some boar bristles to help hold the hair onto the brush? 😊

Hi QP, I had purchased the Dyson Airwrap 2 month's ago. I have fine, frizzy, a couple of inches over shoulder hair. I had never owned any straighteners or curlers before, therefore thought it was a good investment. I am a total amateur. Will you be doing a video on the Dyson Airwrap again for the curlers? I want to know what's the right way to section off hair and do i curl from back to front or front to back? With all the airflow, it just makes my hair more frizzy. By the way, I envy your beautiful hair. Is there any hair masks that you do? What type of products do you use?
@QPlife5 жыл бұрын
I actually have a couple of videos on how I curled my hair with the Dyson (kzbin.info/www/bejne/enybmqSNmteGhNE) and also, how to get beach wave curls with the Dyson (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qandqn2vr9GFotE). I'm not sure if you've seen them yet but perhaps they might help. If they don't and you have any specific questions that you would like me to address more deeply, I can definitely do another video to try to answer your questions. Thank you so much for your compliment. Honestly, I think my hair is as healthy as it is because I don't color or process my hair. I used to have really coarse hair when I was a teenager and I found that having the right shampoo and conditioner really helped and also avoiding cheaper hair tools that pretty much fried my hair. Try to get a shampoo and conditioner that doesn't have any sulfate in it as this is a really harsh ingredient and strips hair of a lot of oils that it needs. There are so many amazing drugstore/grocery store brands now that are under $10. I am loving "Not Your Mother's" shampoo and conditioner. Maui Moisture and Love Beauty & Planet are also wonderful brands that I keep going back to whenever I feel like switching up my shampoo. I don't use any specific hair masks or found one that I love but I do apply a generous amount of conditioner onto my hair in the shower and tie it up while I wash the rest of my body/face, shave, etc so that the conditioner has some time to absorb into my hair. Lol, sorry about the long reply. I should probably make this a video 😄I hope this helps but if not, please let me know if you have any other questions! I'm here to help! 😊

My step mom turned me on to blowing out my hair but I instead bought the One Step bc my lazy butt couldn't resist the convenience of the all in one tool. 😂 It's the best $60 I've ever spent on my hair.

Yes! It is so convenient there is no need to grab a regular round brush lol. So glad you're enjoying your Revlon One-Step also! Thank you so much for watching! 😊

I have both. Revlon is ok but gets hot quickly. I have frizzy hair and Revlon do not reduce the issue. Dyson (the new one) reduce frizzy effect and makes my hair looks more healthy and shining. I mostly use smoothing part (the curly one I still need to learn how properly use it).

Hi Quynh. Your hair is beautiful. Do you have any tips for strengthening hair?
@QPlife5 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim! So sorry for the late reply. Personally, I think my hair owes its strength and health to not being overly bleached or processed. I also only wash my hair every other day (some times every 3 days) which means I can get away with only styling my hair once in between washes so my hair doesn't get very much exposure to heat. Another thing that I noticed made a huge difference is switching over to a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. I used to have really coarse hair until I started investing in better, professional shampoos and it slowly started getting softer (luckily, there are amazing brands at the drugstore/grocery stores now for under $10- I recommend Not Your Mother's, Maui Moisture, or Love Beauty & Planet brands). Lastly, I think investing in high-quality hair styling tools is very important also. Higher-end brands are built with better materials that don't damage hair as much as some lower-end brands (not that they won't do any damage, just less damage). Sorry about the long reply, lol. I hope this helps. This is a great question and I have had similar ones asked a lot, so I think I will do a more in depth video when I get the chance. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 😊

I cant stand the Dyson. I tried it over and over before I gave it away. The revlon is soooo great! Affordable and does what I need.
@TheAvgWoman3 жыл бұрын
Great review and just what I needed. Revlon, it is! I only really do my hair 1-2x a week and then maintain so I think I won't accrue too much damage from the Revlon. Thankies!

I really like my Revlon One Step but it can give me a little too much puffy volume and overly rounded ends so I usually use a flat iron afterward. I use it when I don't want to deal with the round brush and hairdryer.
@vickizsecrets5 жыл бұрын
The Revlon is great until it damages your hair. 🤦🏼♀️💇🏼♀️
@QPlife5 жыл бұрын
I think any tool that has any bit of heat has the possibility of damaging hair, including the Dyson. I definitely think that the Dyson is a little bit healthier for hair but other than the curling barrels and the prestyling dryer, the other attachments could use better designs that control hair better. I wish Dyson would come out with an attachment that is similar to the Revlon's design. Then it would be 👌🏼(and also lower the price just a bit or at least split up the set so that people can just buy the base and whichever attachments they want at reasonable prices 😄)
@imagin9165 жыл бұрын
I agree. The dyson never gets hot enough that I can’t touch it, the revlon gets so hot that it will burn your hand. That has to take its toll on your hair regardless of any heat protectant product used.
@twinklegowani25464 жыл бұрын
I completely agree, Revlon burned my hair and caused so much damage. I’m very very happy with my Dyson, no extreme heat and doesn’t pull my hair. Great investment
@noor23693 жыл бұрын
Would you say the revlon is still less damaging than a regular straightener? If you put it on the coldest setting for example?

Yes, it really does! I have noticed the Dyson getting pretty hot also, but the Revlon definitely gets hotter than the Dyson. I'll have to do a heat test on them in the future bc that was something I didn't really think about. Thank you for bringing that to my attention! 😊

Your choice only makes sense to ppl with very thick, strong hair like yours. If i would use the Revlon on my fine, dammaged hair, it would burn and be beyond repair. Even the Dyson i never set to the highest setting. Only cold - medium
