Best Vacumn I’ve ever owned, blows the Kirby out of the water. Not to mention I found mine at a local thrift store, I paid a grand total of $0 for it! Reason being, I was gonna pay $20 for it, it wasn’t picking up, seller told me to get back with him in the next day so he could figure out what was wrong with it, he never got around to checking it, he just gave it to me. I took it home, found out it was the filter was clogged and needed cleaning and the brush needed resetting, and bam, pretty much a new Dyson for me!

I garbage picked mine. Took it apart and cleaned it and it works like a champ. Works great! Cost? Zero

If you forget how to put things together, I learned before you take it apart take pictures of it first. It helped me when I was fixing my Electrolux!

I remember the DC18s when I was little. I use to have a brochure of it and many others tho I lost them sadly.

Mine makes the wind down sound. It's caused by the filter lid not being sucked down and making a seal when it turns off. Also, does yours have issues skipping on carpet due to the squeegee?

It’s weird how you had to reset the brush motor because whenever I took out my brush roll in my Electrolux I didn’t have to reset it.
