Ended up picking this vacuum up used for £60. It does my 2 bedroom flat perfectly, and then some. You sold me with this demo. Couldn't quite justify/afford a Miele C3 Cat & Dog at this moment in time, but this is fantastic for the time being. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this video; the Dyson instruction manual I had is useless - one of the worst manuals I have ever seen! Great review as always roger. I got this model as soon as it came out for £199 and I have to say it's one of the best Dysons I've had in a long time. It is extremely good on hard floors as well as carpet as you demonstrated. I tend to keep on the middle suction setting for all floors. The hose I found has to have a good stretch out but I'm sure will loosen over time. I found on my machine though the cable is incredibly stiff for some reason but hasn't put me off. All in all I'd recommend this to anyone. !!
@philgarlic80475 жыл бұрын
The stiff cable is probably made from recycled PVC, as are a lot of those on new appliances made in the far East, or even elsewhere these days. I've noticed this for several years - a horrible texture and feel, and much prefer the flexibility of the older type.

Before I started doing research on vaccum cleaners I wanted a Dyson so bad. I had a Fantom vaccum back in 1999. It was ok. But after that, I never really wanted another bagless option. I purchased a meile vaccum and I really like that. Sense then I obtained s riccar and j love it even more. I happened upon a thirty year old Royal. I absolutely love the riccar and the Royal. You can feel the strength of the vaccum. I'm going to get a sanitare and that's it. I my get rid of the meile. Its ok, but not as great as the others.

Hey Roger, great video as always. Getting a new house with new carpets and want to make sure we maintain them. We’re coming from a house with all wooden floors so I’m looking for a new vacuum that will keep the pile looking good. Would you recommend this Dyson or the Shark DuoClean?
@mannys91306 жыл бұрын
thisismynametb If I'm honest, I'd go with a Kirby for a carpeted house with brand new carpet. You can get an older model like a Sentria for fairly cheap and it'll perform wonderfully. The agitation and suction power of a Kirby is a force to be reckoned with and they are one the very best deep cleaners on the market. That's my own recommendation.

Just left dyson after years of buying them. Ive just bought a shark and am VERY impressed. Also having my previous dyson as the dc40 animal i had major issues with the stupidly narrow suction channel in the head which ALWAYS blocked with heavy pet hair. Out of the box its ok but after a few years it clogs easily. This new dyson has a much bigger suction hose/outlet in the head which copes better with pet hair. The shark i feel has thw exact same performance and yet much lower price, and it has NEVER blocked. End of me buying dyson!

The ratings are based on cleaning a specific type of dust from a specific type of floor with a crevice in the middle of it, so can only be used as a rough guide. No rating tells you how well a vacuum picks up pet hair either.

EU will still have regulations after we've left, so unless Dyson then make products only for sale in the UK and not the EU, they will still have to conform to the standards. And, unless we create our own equally or more stringent stringent standards the only difference will be Dyson and other vacuum makers will be allowed to sell noisier, less efficient models to UK customers.
