Dyson Soft Roller Cleaner Head Repair - Brush Bar Not Spinning

Hi, the soft brush on my Dyson isn’t spinning following a deep clean. When I remove the brush roller to inspect I see the little grey cross isn’t spinning. It seems stuck and doesn’t move at all. Would know please what could be the cause? and could be done to fix it?

I think I got the same problem with my v8 soft brush. After cleaning everything it only spins for a few seconds and than stops. I don't have the professional tools to check, but this also sounds like a wire problem right?

Yes, it could also be a broken wire. It would be good to check if this problem also occurs with another brush or only with this brush. This is how you make sure that the problem is with the brush and you can investigate further.

Hey, I got a dyson v11 that’s seen very little use. However it was bought new “refurbished”. Now it is not spinning either of the heads, when trying the heads on a second v11 they both spin freely. What could be my issue. Tried without the want aswell and it still does not spin…

First, you should check the contacts, maybe are loose. Check with the multimeter if you have continuity between the front connector (where you mount the accessories) and the pins inside the cyclone assy. If the contacts are good, the board uses a MOSFET to power the brush and constantly monitors the consumption. The MOSFET or another component may be faulty.
