next time to remove back part install filter and use it as handle, don't use screwdriver, it lefts damages on parts, use thin knife if necessary

Hello, you might find this helpful. I had a similar problem with my V12, after starting, it would turn off immediately. Only after 5-6 attempts of starting and stopping would it finally run continuously. The issue was with the three capacitors on the motor board. On mine, the capacitors are marked as 1N2 270 VHC. I discovered that they are 270 µF, 35 V hybrid capacitors. I replaced them six months ago, and I haven’t had any issues since then.

VERY helpful video in walking through the disassembly steps. What I discovered may be important to other viewers. The wires looked intact, yet the motor would die after 5-10 seconds. I discovered that the grey wire coming from the motor had likely internally broken slightly just as it entered the spade connector. So it acted like one tiny strand of wire was initially conducting but as it overheated it pulled apart. The answer was to "flood" a little solder from the connector back up the wire maybe 1/20th inch by heating the connector enough with a pointed soldering iron. Problem fixed. But not an obvious one. Thanks for this great video.

January 2025. Thanks, just completed the replacement in 90 minutes following this. No problem, and my Dyson V10 didn’t have the silicon protection on the board. The plastic trigger was broken in such a way it prevented a direct pull-out, so I had to break and prise it out through the trigger hole. Replaced with a steel version, a little smear of Vaseline helped get the new trigger over the pins.

Soldering is a horrible fix. The copper wires will work harden and break at the solder joint. Only a new wire or a mechanical splice (butt connector, twist wires etc) will truly fix it. It WILL break again.

We opened our Xiaomi vacuum cleaner and discovered its poor design, especially the internal filter for the fan that discharges air to the outside, as it was made in a way that ensures that the motor malfunctions after a measured period and thus leads to damage to the main board.

The old trigger piece did not look bad but the pivot holes were worn and elongated a very little bit, but it fixed the problem. Can't believe it was designed to be so critical..

I have the Dyson 7 animal. My bar will spin freely so I know the shaft is not stuck. It will not spin when powered though. The Minnie head works fine though. Do you know want the issue is? Some say to clean all electrical ports going back to the main vacuum motor. But if the Minnie will spin and work fine could that be the issue?

I’m interested in seeing the part where you take the gold plastic piece off the motor body there’s some purple foam in between the two gold pieces. How do I repair that purple foam seal? Mine is deteriorating and I could feel air blowing through. You skipped that part in your video.

First of all, I apologize for my poor English. I have a similar problem with my V15. It works like this and then stops, but after doing this 3-4 times, it continues to work without any problems. Then I stop the machine again and take a 1-minute break and it works without any problems again. But if I take a 15-20-minute break and do not start the machine, it starts to have the same problem again. So I think the machine returns to normal after working and warming up a little. If we take a break and let the machine cool down, the problem starts again. What do you think could be the source of this problem? I have been researching for 1 year but I could not find a solution.
