A Dyson sphere is a structure that would enable us to collect energy directly from stars.
“Your Dose of Curiosity educates its audience with short, informative, fun, and astonishing videos about space. We try to share the latest scientific discoveries about space, review technologies necessary for exploring space, and introduce pioneers whose work contributed to what we know today. I mean biblically accurate could just be a rewrite of "gods" (humans/alien species) came to "earth"(the planet we live on) gave us knowledge we could not yet understand and left only for us to lose it retell the tale and have it be rewritten for centuries for us to now believe in the all mighty creator when in reality it was just some of our own kinds trying to populate the galaxies 🤷🏻‍♂️ idk tho could be one almighty creator. You'd think even if both were true someone would come change something, someone would intervene.

That's why the technology for this and that won't be created any time soon unless some changes happen like world peace better education not brainwashing people bc If I remember correctly they gave kids this thing they would take and it would make the kid a little dumber and instead of making weapons like we do now all of the world needs to come together and fix the issues this planet has like global warming and the fact that there's thousands of pieces of broken things and debris that make it an issue to launch rockets and stuff then after that we can start terraforming planets and once we do that we can start harvesting planets and build this Dyson sphere

ik what you mean.... but also the dyson sphere had nothing to do with tesla. Inspired by the 1937 science fiction novel Star Maker by Olaf Stapledon, the physicist and mathematician Freeman Dyson was the first to formalize the concept of what became known as the "Dyson sphere"

if youre thinking about the tesla coil, then please remember that it was HORRENDOUSLY innefficient and stupidly expensive. Wireless energy collection or transmission is i think about 60% less effecient than just using a traditional cable. Also this may not be true, but if you think nikola tesla figured out how to "harness" atmospheric energy, then keep in mind that his objective was to actually wirelessly transmit power, not collect power.

Actually, Dyson Sphere's are doable and possible, but impractical for advanced civilizations. They would cover up a complete star, which would hinder certain trade routes, etc, lighting to guide travel. It would be easier now to siphon off using a spacecraft that particularly specialises in refueling energy from a star.

Then just the technical stuff too , we’d need machines/tech capable of transferring , storing , extracting materials , then they also have to be able to build with extreme accuracy and be able to withstand the suns harsh conditions long term. Insanely cool stuff to think about but nearly impossible to accomplish large scale without being a space bound civilisation already.

Dyson spheres are a ridiculous proposition. To build a sphere around even the smallest star would require all the planetary material from a hundred different solar systems, It would take thousands of years to construct, And, why bother, when the object is free perpetual energy, that will come from matter anti matter, fusion, Dark energy, or energy sources not yet dreamt of, But would certainly take less time to perfect than time taken to build a Sphere.

Imagine if we survive a couple more million years and manage to build these spheres and make them look exactly like biblically accurate angels👀 ...and then some aliens randomly pass by and see these monstrosities guarding a little blue planet and go *"nope...not angering the gods today, no sir!"*

As multiple people have said, i don't think the issue is we don't have the tech to make such a thing. But rather we don't have ENOUGH materials on this planet alone to make a structure that fucking massive. Like, it would HAVE to be bigger than our sun. And where are we going to work on this at? Where would we put it together? Even if it was sitting in Mariana Trench, the sphere would STILL go into space and probably would end up passing our moon.

Ppl say the challenge is how we going to get it around the sun or maybe it’s too advance for us to do right now he guys have you guys even thought how we going to get the materials to make that shit💀 I’m pretty sure earth don’t got materials like that to have it orbit the sun 💀

You wouldn't have to do that you just get a lot smaller one orbit around the sun said gone all the way around it just order it and let it draw the energy from the Sun

Even if you can build it. How the hell are you going to channel that resource from the long long distance between sun and earth? Just make a hella huge ass solar panels lol.
