We had a Dyson V11 and loved it for its power and convenience. Unfortunately, we lost it in a house fire, but as soon as the V15 became available we ordered it. Ours did not come with a manual, so we turned to KZbin to understand all of its features. We are grateful we came across your video, truly one of the best informative videos on the net. Much appreciative of the attention to detail and meticulous descriptions of each of the accessories you gave. We also enjoyed the very "British" personal touch of your descriptions. Just wanted to make people aware that I recently bought the V15 Detect Absolute and the stated battery time of 60 minutes is an approximation for Eco mode only. The Auto (medium) setting gives battery life of just over 36 minutes with any tool not requiring power and about 7 minutes in Turbo mode. I bought an additional battery and both give the same results when fully charged. I also confirmed these times by speaking direct to Dyson customer services today 30/12/21

I've had mine for nearly two months and I'm simply thrilled with it. It works fantastically. I find myself using it multiple times a day. It's wonderfully versatile and performs beautifully for a wide variety of cleaning needs. Powerful, handy, and a pleasure to operate. I highly recommend Dyson's V15 Detect. You won't be disappointed.

I remember that someone in UK have a V11 outsize, he can even use his Outsize's battery when his V15's battery is charging. He brower his other vacuum's battery

I want to get my mum this vacuum. It’s painful having to see her use her old Dyson that she’s been using for 8 long years and it is extremely heavy (and loud). Her vacuum is on its last legs and fails to work a lot. This vacuum looks amazing and seems like it performs well, so I will get this vacuum for her (and me for when I am asked to do the stairs).

i got V15 a week. and i need another battery for my tiny 2 bedroom apartment. One battery is not enough and i have to finish the job with my old ryobi vacuum. I also dont like the fluffy roller on hardwood floor. Fluffy roller has a large opening in the front and it negatively affects the suction. On the hardwood floors and the tile the carpet brush works the best.

I just bought a dyson V15 Detect Submarine. The part with the laser detect does not have an on and off laser switch. Is that normal?

I think on some of the newer models the head doesn't have a switch on it to turn the laser off.

Really depends if you need a longer runtime and bigger bin capacity? If both of those are ok for you, stick with what you have.

Based on the parts and HPEA filter, that is not a V15 Detect Aboslute, as they are now sold in 4-2023.

What’s the difference between the V15 Absolute and regular V15? I don’t see the V15 Absolute on Dyson’s website, unless it’s the same thing. And I’m not referring to the Detect+. Thanks.

On the main head there’s a switch at the front what’s it for

If it is the fluffy head, then you have the option to switch the laser on and off

@@lords-electrical I think he meant the gate switch on the Tourque drive head. It basically opens/closes 2 little gates at the front for more or less suction and clearance for debris to enter.

It is designed for a different customer, as the Outsize is bigger and heavier, but with a longer runtime and bigger bin capacity if you have a huge area to vacuum then the Outsize is a winner. If it is a smaller house you have then the shorter runtime and lighter weight would normally go down well with customers.

I clean the floor in straight lines quickly without looking, not sure why I would want to slow that down and strain my eyes using a torch at my feet beforehand. What is the point - to avoid spaces where there may not be dust?? the reason you have the vacuum cleaner is because you sense it needs cleaning? There is always going to be pollution etc to clean off the floor?

The Absolute has a higher-grade HPEA filter, built-in nozzle tools, and two other tools that are included.

Yes it is a better HEPA filter. You can purchase the filter seperately. This is what I did so I would have an extra filter for times when I wash the filter and it needs to fully dry.
