I really liked that there was no narration. The "teach by showing" not "teach by telling" works well for something this challenging. Thank you!

wow, that was so in depth. brilliant video. i am busy cleaning mine this very moment but would be too scared to go this far. it was cutting in and out and could smell fumes. there was a small polystyrene bead off a xmas tree light, stuck behind the little flap on the nozzle. going to carefully give it a good wash and brush up now. thanks for video.

Great video! I have a similar cleaner which cuts out periodically so am attempting a comple strip-down and clean for the first time. Would there be any benefit in removing the motor back cover? I don't think you covered this and while there appears to be one screw holding this part, that seems not to be the whole story.

In my opinion, it is not worth removing. The rear cover is a bit tricky to take off and breaks easily. You can then take the motor out. Only you can't take the motor itself apart to clean. So you get little benefit from taking it apart. On models without a removable rear filter, there is a filter in the rear cover. Then I do take it off. To clean that filter. I have a video on my channel where I also show how to remove it. "Dyson DC62 cleaning tutorial" kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZrJpZKQhal3hac

Many thanks for your kind advice. I've had the cleaner well over 10 years but am still on a learning curve. Now I have come to understand the difference between the type with removeable filter and the one with commonly a disintegrating and dirty sponge filter. All I need is a long Torx screwdriver to complete dismantling and we should be back in business.@@SpareTimeWorkshop
