I went to the movie theaters and they had them in there restrooms and it was cool the dryer was very strong

I went to marshals and I used their washrooms, and so I am washing my hands and I am like oh, it’s a dryer too! I put my hands over there and the soapy water is all flying up not only that the mirror is tilted Down so all that soapy water is all over that mirror. Once I did that I didn’t care if my hands were dry I just ran out of the washroom, out of the store, and ate New York fries.

Notice that in the video, nobody actually washes their hands and then immediately tries to dry them. Dyson knows it's a design failure. But hey, it "looks" cool.

My grandmother has been to this airport and told me about this. I’ve never been in a restroom that has an Airblade tap.

I think I would like a bathmat or showerhead that sent air to dry a person after having a shower less towel usage?

One of my local malls has these, but the hand sensors rarely ever work and if one decides to work it doesn't dry your hands properly. People are always walking out of the washrooms drying their hands on their pants...

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson. What you're describing sounds very unusual as extensive work went into developing the sensors to work responsively and intuitively. If possible would you be able to confirm the location of your local mall? It would be great if we can get our support team to reach out, just to make sure the machines are working as well as it should be?

This could be a problem with the owners of the mall. If the mall is owned by Simon then that's your problem

how can i adjust water temperature ??
@dyson3 жыл бұрын
The water temperature can be controlled with the use of a thermostatic mixer. Mixers are not included with our Dyson Airblade™ Tap or Dyson Airblade™ Wash + Dry. Without a mixer, your plumber can attach it to a standard cold water supply.

@@dyson Congrats, this is the utmost retarded design of the century. The user can't control the flow, can't control if it´s hot or cold and when you are using it, it start to blow the water all over the place...

I have tried to use this tap every now and then each mornig for nearly 2 years at my local Gold's Gym. Unfortunately, due to the combination of high cost and the sunk cost falicy, the gym management still refuses to replace the failed experiment. 1) the sensors work great - for 80% of the users. Which means that 20% of the users have to wave and flail their hands every which way to get water to intermittently spurt out. Some gym members don't even fight with the things any more, they just use the showers to wash their hands. It is especially frustrating to wiggle your fingers all over the place, give up, and then have the water start shooting out only after you start walking away. 2) The dryer arms are far worse. They are placed so that you cannot drop, pour, or (in the tragic case of toothpaste) spit anything into the sink without finding the substance intended for the drain to be instantly distributed across your shirt. DO NOT try to shave at one of these things! 3) Even if the dryer arm placement was not a disaster, the dryer sensors are even more frustrating than the faucet sensor. While the air jets DO come on to shoot spit, shaving cream, or hair mousse at you, they simply will not come on for wet hands. Fortunately most people have their towel handy at the gym... I would be dismayed to see one of these installed In a regular public washroom without hand towels nearby. 4) they are apparently not adjustable. The gym has been unable to find any improvements through servicing the contraption over a span of 2 years! The taps still don't work. 5) the whole concept doesn't make sense anyway... if they DID work, we would have people waiting for the sink while someone is using it to dry their hands. This is a waste of resources. For less money you can have a faucet AND a dryer that 2 people can use concurrently. These things are a testimony to marketing and sales NOT to utility. 6) How the heck do you wash your face in this thing? Dyson has made some great products over the years but I must assume that the only reason they are still selling this embarrassing flop is because of an erroneously large initial production run that they need to sell off. They should fund this lesson with their other products and melt down the unsold ones

In our super-expensive high-end gym in Toronto they made the same stupid mistake: (not Dyson brand) electronic sensors in taps are horrible !! Water never comes when you need it, totally unpredictable.. some gym members (men) shave- so, guess what, - all the ugly hair get stuck permanently all around the sink, those dam taps are totally useless for attempting to wash them out, till cleaners come to wipe it out. I stop using the dam thing long time ago, shower is the only water source I use there. Fortunately for hand-drying they still got paper, but because of electronic sensors for dispensing it's another disaster- many times I was just standing nearby, when the dam contraption (triggered by my proximity) went into motion and startled me few times, lol.. And, think about it- why the hell you would ever need a paper towel, if you never wash your hands there?

I hate them! At work we have them and they are so glitchy and bad. Sometimes when you try to wash your hands the sensors activate the dryer instead. You have to remove your hands and try like 2 times before the water turns on. Then the soap and water in the sink fly everywhere. They’re super nice looking , but not very effective.
@ZQRDS2W Жыл бұрын
These things are terrible. It's impossible not to activate the dryer while you are washing your hands and then they spray all dirty stuff from your hands on everyone in the room. Disgusting.
