This is a great video - a beautiful compilation of sounds - I don't remember mine sounding so good. I'm retrieving a 90s studio from the attic - so glad I kept the A/D. Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice video My Yamaha SY35 is what I use to control my A/D as it's 61 keys velocity and aftertouch and the sy's joystick midi maps to A/D without fuss Great synth. I just 6 weeks ago got the new wavestate and use the SY to play it too Love the wavy monsters And this vid

Nice demo again. I still have my Wavestation EX.. love it.. just wish it didn't suffer from sticky keys issues - although I have to say that the VST version of the Wavestation is pretty amazing too. I made multi-layered patches, wave-sequencing and vector synthesis features of the plugin I developed (Hyperion synth) - totally inspired by the original Wavestation.

Hyperion sounds and looks cool. Reminds me of an old vst called 'Energy XT'. May pick this up on sale. Lots of exclusive stuff in that been looking at from Tracktion.

@@Maschinestorm Cool.. another update of Hyperion is being prepared this week. I've been playing with Korg's Wavestate native and got inspired to make a better interface to selecting combis/patches.. so small update on that front coming.

Yep, as it's only one in Wavestation range that has Audio Inputs that can be modulated by Fx etc. which is nice ..... however I'm keeping my Wavestate mk1 !! 😎👌🎹🎵💥🍻

@AnalogFlava Defo AF!!! Generation(s) ahead but still comes with the old classic WS patch banks, but really it's far, far more powerful! They also added user sample import to allow more sonic flexibility, as well as VST counterpart where you can run alongside the HW so you can chose preferred way of tweaking (I tend to do my edits shared SW/HW which is nice.....) 😀✨️

@@theaudioeng I think you meant to say to get the wavestate? 😅 Im just thinking if soundwise there is a difference in terms of converters and hardware where the wavestate sounds more hifi or new or something that takes away from the 90s era which is really all i want. Not looking for modern sounds so to speak, although I saw a few demos of mk2 i think which did sound good!

Any classic rackmounted digital synth should have a VST emulation. Tje manufacturers hold the copyrights to the original samples and waveforms. There are third parties that would do the actual work. Having an endless rack of synths is an experience you can't even get from the originals.

I just got my A/D and can't find answer anywhere. I'm wondering if rom bank is supposed to be the same as ram3? I'm hoping they did this for editing my own on ram3, otherwise I'm gonna have find the file for #3 bank

Likely if you are seeing ROM patches in your RAM banks your battery died. Fortunately it’s as easy as getting a cr2032 which you can find anywhere and then opening the case and replacing the old one. No soldering required, kind of idiot proof!

To digital and cold sounding but the effects are good + waves of P5 ,VS , and Oberheim samples
